Corporatism, Corexit, Fluoride all Have an Influence on Our Health
Corporate Meteors Strike US Gulf
(They Got the Whole World In Their Hands)

Perhaps the British Petroleum/Nalco event was the wakeup call we needed in order to look more closely at untouchable corporations that began running the whole world 100 years ago. This is a paper about corporate communism, which is otherwise known as “monopolies” that are now rampant in the US. Monopolies always engage in conspiracy, and their first goal is to conspire to eliminate their competition and choices, establish control over prices and the masses by an elite few. The April 20, 2010, BP oil catastrophe in America’s Gulf can be described as a monumental corporate conspiracy. BP was permitted by cronies to dig a hole to China off Louisiana’s shores without safety measures or concern for the Gulf’s marine ecosystem. Rather than immediately corking its gusher, BP quickly tapped a relatively unheard of company named Nalco on the shoulder for millions of gallons of its toxic Corexit dispersant. BP began adding Corexit to the oil-ravaged Gulf on April 23, and thumbed its nose at the US government when it suggested that something less toxic and more effective than Corexit be used.
“Corexit” does not “correct” anything as its corporately cute name implies. It makes the oil less visible on the surface, but making something less visible has never been a way to “correct” anything or change what needs to be changed. In addition, the containers holding Corexit carry a substantial warning about coming in contact with it or inhaling its vapors. Many of those who came in contact with the oil and the version of Corexit used while trying to “clean up” the Exxon-Valdez catastrophe remained sickened for years. Similarly, a number of newly unemployed US fishermen in the Gulf who began taking jobs to help clean up BP’s mess have reported illnesses. Low oxygen levels are being reported, and when the water is low in oxygen, it means our air is also low.
According to numerous reports, these fishermen, who are the “first responders” in this most recent manmade disaster, state they have been told the air is safe to breathe, the water is safe to come in contact with despite being filled with chemicals, and that respirators will not be permitted. Numerous journalists and photographers, as well as scientists have been ordered to stay away from the disaster site or face arrest. We have an arrogant British company running things here in the US so sloppily they have shrugged-off having recently killed eleven men whose bodies were never found, and now they are ordering Americans around as though we are presumed British subjects.
Nalco is headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, with corporate headquarters in Illinois. Although we “little people” might not have been familiar with Nalco until now, it appears that directors and former directors from notable corporate giants have been quite familiar with Nalco for years. The question of why BP selected Nalco’s more toxic, less efficient Corexit instead of other less toxic dispersants has remained basically unanswered by BP. Not even congressmen have been able to extract this answer from BP’s reps. All that has been truly known was that BP immediately felt their oil volcano was going to need a mother load of dispersants, and there was only one dispersant manufacturer prepared to step into this windfall opportunity for a dispersant manufacturer: Nalco.
Corexit suspends the oil in a subsurface manner, where oil-eating microbes flock to it, and it is this activity that scientists say leads to depleted oxygen levels in the seas. In addition, the use of subsurface Corexit one mile down was reportedly not based upon any science at all. It was another experiment being conducted by the chemical companies. Despite the “toxic stew” that BP/Nalco have created in the Gulf, news reports continue with conflicting statements in that “it is not known” what caused the subsequent, massive fish kills after the Gulf was filled with oil and dispersant chemicals. Conflicting reports certainly do not end with the fish kills. Nalco, on their website, states, “All of the ingredients contained in Nalco’s dispersants are safe and found in common household products” However, the Safety Data Sheet for Corexit 9527A, which was the first dispersant reportedly used in the Gulf, has the following warnings:
“SKIN CONTACT :
Can cause moderate irritation. Harmful if absorbed through skin.
INGESTION :
May be harmful if swallowed. May cause liver and kidney effects and/or damage. There may be irritation to the gastro-intestinal tract.
INHALATION :
Harmful by inhalation. Repeated or prolonged exposure may irritate the respiratory tract.
SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE :
Acute : Excessive exposure may cause central nervous system effects, nausea, vomiting, anesthetic or narcotic effects.
Chronic : Repeated or excessive exposure to butoxyethanol may cause injury to red blood cells (hemolysis), kidney or the liver.
AGGRAVATION OF EXISTING CONDITIONS :
Skin contact may aggravate an existing dermatitis condition.
HUMAN HEALTH HAZARDS – CHRONIC :
Contains ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (butoxyethanol). Prolonged and/or repeated exposure through inhalation or extensive skin contact with EGBE may result in damage to the blood and kidneys.”
It is possible that while no trace of Corexit might be found in the dead marine life, the marine life is dying from the effects of depleted oxygen levels caused by the oil and dispersants, or dying from organ damage caused by chemicals that have already passed through their systems, damaging organs on their way out. However, according to Nalco’s Corexit EC9500A (the version of Corexit that was primarily used in the Gulf) on the Safety Data Sheet, the Toxicological Information states, “No toxicity studies have been conducted on this product.” This means another chemical experiment is in progress.
In a report dated June 1, 2010 from Mobile, Pensacola News, WKRG, a massive fish kill took place sometime the night before June 1. “Josh Edwards, an employee of River Shack Restaurant, said, ‘Literally, it looked like the whole river back there behind the restaurant had frozen up. It looked like snow and ice on top of the water,’” he said, describing the millions of small, young, silvery fish called menhaden that were now floating dead on the water’s surface. Menhaden reach a length of about one foot as adults if they have the good fortune to live that long, but it appears that nearly all of the menhaden killed recently were juveniles, representing the ocean’s future stock of menhaden. While many news stories are dismissing the menhaden as “a baitfish,” the truth is that the menhaden are the most important fish in the sea. “Menhaden” comes from a Narragansett word meaning fertilizer, after the Narragansett Indians discovered hundreds of years ago that adding dead, nutrient-rich menhaden to mounds that were to be planted with corn, would produce robust, healthy corn.
According to NASA, the all-important phytoplankton are the very beginning of the marine food chain, providing not only rich nutrients but approximately half of the earth’s supply of oxygen. The menhaden swim with their mouths open, absorbing the smallest delicacies of the sea, cleaning the seas of sunlight-blocking detritus and eating the phytoplankton that are high in omega-3 fatty acids. They help bring sunlight in for the photosynthesis process of vegetation, thereby increasing the oxygen levels. Then, the menhaden become the next in line in the marine food chain, providing a highly nutritious and highly sought after source of food for nearly every other type of marine life, including the larger fish whose names we are more familiar with because they are on our menus. Menhaden also provide food for turtles, birds, and marine mammals, including whales. Menhaden are extremity sensitive to oxygen levels, and will die when deprived of sufficient oxygen, thus their lives depend upon their task at hand. Ours might, as well.
In the wake of this Gulf disaster, Barack Obama ordered a six-month ban on dangerous offshore drilling, only to have the ban initially overruled by a federal court. The judge ruled instead for the posturing presidents, directors and CEOs of corporate monopolies rather than favoring the discretion of the person some feel might be the President of the United States. This indicates that a handful of corporate presidents, CEOs and directors have finally formed monstrous monopolies and transmonopolies that are so large they have clearly become a form of controlling government that cannot be addressed by the government of the United States. We are their victims.
If they wish to experiment on us and around us, they have, they can, and they continue doing so at this moment. They reap the benefits of their experiments with profits, and we pay the price either by submitting to their unending price gouging or we pay with our national condition of deteriorating health due in part to the massive chemical contaminations we are forced to endure. Poisoned by our food, our water, and the air we breathe, we are then forced to rely upon our deteriorating, abysmal healthcare industry that stands ready to treat our growing list of symptoms with more chemicals. The healthcare system is being run by insurance and pharmaceutical monopolies.
According to a Consumer Affairs article, a study conducted by the American Medical Association (another monopoly that has eliminated competitors and removed people’s choices for medical treatments) found that between 1995 and 2005 there were more than 400 mergers between health insurance companies, resulting in only a handful of insurance monopolies that now provide most of the coverage in the US, thus controlling and driving prices ever higher and fleecing Americans out of billions of dollars. From their offices, insurance personnel make medical decisions affecting patients they have never laid eyes on. In order to help this unnecessary middleman to prosper even more, our government now wants to force Americans to pay the wages of our labor to the insurance industry for protection or face the frightening consequences. This type of activity is otherwise known as extortion when it is carried out by organized crime groups. In forcing us to pay our wages to health insurance monopolies, we will be agreeing to spend part of our work hours each month as slaves, then giving the wages for those hours to corporate monopolies for a “service” that is criminally overpriced, not needed, out of control and has nothing whatsoever to do with actual healthcare.
The US laws, including antitrust laws, were meant to keep cutthroat monopolies from driving and fixing prices, killing their competition, poisoning people, poisoning and killing wildlife, poisoning and destroying the environment, forcing consumers to have unfair enslavement or reliance upon poor quality monopoly products, hiding their activities from view, and engaging in outrageous conspiracies and behaviors. One large monopoly that has its hands firmly gripped on our food supply, and also has a propensity for dragging itself repeatedly through the mud, is Monsanto. Among other unsavory activities it has engaged in, Monsanto dumped millions of pounds of deadly PCBs throughout an Alabama community and then covered it up for 40 years.
An article in the Washington Post states: “For nearly 40 years, while producing the now-banned industrial coolants known as PCBs at a local factory, Monsanto Co. routinely discharged toxic waste into a west Anniston creek and dumped millions of pounds of PCBs into oozing open-pit landfills. In 1966, Monsanto managers discovered that fish submerged in that creek turned belly-up within 10 seconds, spurting blood and shedding skin as if dunked into boiling water. They told no one. In 1969, they found fish in another creek with 7,500 times the legal PCB levels.”
When Monsanto’s managers saw that they had already contaminated everything to such a degree that there would be no easy fix for this mess, their stunning decision, according to internal memos, was that “there is little object in going to expensive extremes in limiting discharges.” In other words, they would continue to dump their toxic wastes into the environment and the local community of unsuspecting people.
According to another article in the Washington Post, when Monsanto was finally “caught,” a 2002 Alabama jury found it guilty of all charges, including: “negligence, wantonness, suppression of the truth, nuisance, trespass and outrage.” The Post goes on to explain, “Under Alabama law, the rare claim of outrage typically requires conduct ’so outrageous in character and extreme in degree as to go beyond all possible bounds of decency so as to be regarded as atrocious and utterly intolerable in civilized society.’”
According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), as the truth began to emerge about the Monsanto’s PCB deception, Monsanto underwent a “self-induced identity crisis,” eventually claiming that it no longer existed. In September, 1997, Solutia, Inc. was spun off from Monsanto Co. and assumed chemical operations as well as liability. In 2000, Monsanto merged with Pharmacia and Upjohn, becoming Pharmacia, its new name. Later that year, Pharmacia created an agricultural subsidiary, naming it Monsanto Co. Incredibly, “ICIS, the world’s largest information provider for the chemical and oil industry,” states in its company structure information, “Solutia was founded in St Louis in 1901 as Monsanto Company.”
Changing or hiding one’s name will do little to alter the real problem if the real problem is accountability. Accountability costs money. There is no accountability when companies and corporations merge into monopolies and overlapping transmonopolies that are so large, not even the government can demand accountability from them. The solution is to break corporations down into smaller, accountable firms and encourage competition rather than allowing competition to be destroyed.
The US government, including the Department of Justice (DOJ), appears to have some pressing work to do, because matters continue to spiral out of hand. The untouchable transmonopolies being quietly formed in boardrooms have borders, boundaries and goals that are not easily understood or demarcated, and as they form and merge they bring in vast riches that for far too long have meant they can buy their way out of true accountability by paying victims off with frequently paltry sums followed by “silence” clauses that prevent the victims from talking about their personal tragedies.
The BP/Nalco affair offers us a glimpse of how a potentially untouchable transmonopoly might be formed.
According to the Guardian, UK, and BP, Peter Sutherland was the chairman of BP from 1997 until he stepped down and was replaced by another person effective January, 2010. According to the UN.org, Mr. Sutherland has also been the chairman of Goldman Sachs International since 1995, as well as associated with the Trilateral Commission. According to InvestorsMorningstar, Goldman Sachs sold almost 400,000 shares of BP at the end of January, 2010.
According to the Telegraph.co.uk, Tony Hayward, the disgraced CEO of BP at the time of the deadly explosion (who seems to have been held singularly to blame for this disaster while all other players have remained hidden from view), also cashed in a portion of his holdings of BP one month before the BP Gulf explosion, disposing of 223,288 shares on March 17, 2010. The Telegraph states, “There is no suggestion that he acted improperly or had prior knowledge” of what was about to happen that the company for which he was then somewhat responsible was about to take down the Gulf ecosystem, and then “finish the job” by adding unprecedented millions of gallons of toxic dispersants into the waters, in another chemical experiment. Mr. Hayward told members of Congress that he was “out of the loop” regarding decisions about the blown well. They were not happy to hear this, but when corporations are allowed to become so large that there can be no reasonable supervision of their affairs and practices, disasters and corruption appear to be inevitable.
The BP/Nalco toxic event happened just as heightened awareness of the health benefits from omega-3 fish oil was creating a very profitable market for the fish oil industry. The rich corporation that corners the market and provides nearly all of the omega-3 fish oil for the United States is Omega Protein, Inc. According to their website, their omega-3 fish oil comes solely from menhaden.
The Omega Protein corporation depends upon their fleets’ use of spotter planes to search for the silvery clouds of menhaden glittering and flickering like raindrops on the surface of the sea, and when the planes spot the schools the fishing fleets are alerted and dispatched with large nets to the exact area, sometimes capturing and removing forever entire schools at a time. The omega-3 oil is then extracted from the menhaden to be placed into capsules for human use. The rest of the dead menhaden that are so critically vital to the existence of nearly all marine life, are used as fertilizer and fishmeal that is fed to land animals, including chickens, pigs, cows, dogs, cats, used in the production of lipstick and linoleum, and also fed to large fish farming operations, thus leaving the wild marine life without their most critical source of nutritious food.
According to Greenpeace, the population of menhaden is now at an all-time low. The direness of this critical situation has been brought forth by one of the world’s foremost experts on menhaden, H. Bruce Franklin, a Rutgers professor and author of at least 18 books, including “The Most Important Fish In The Sea. Menhaden In America.”
In a brilliant article in Mother Jones by Bruce Franklin, Professor Franklin writes of the menhaden: “They are filter feeders that live on phytoplankton, which most other aquatic animals are unable to eat. Dense schools of menhaden, sometimes numbering in the hundreds of thousands, pour through these waters, toothless mouths agape, slurping up plankton and detritus like a colossal submarine vacuum cleaner as wide as a city block and as deep as a train tunnel. Each adult fish can filter about four gallons of water a minute. Purging suspended particles that cause turbidity, this filter feeding clarifies the water, allowing sunlight to penetrate and encourage the growth of aquatic plants that release dissolved oxygen and harbor a host of fish and shellfish.
“Much of the phytoplankton consumed by menhaden consists of algae. Excess nitrogen can make algae grow out of control, and that’s what happens when vast quantities of nitrogen flood into our inshore waters from runoff fed by paved surfaces, roofs, wastewater, overfertilized golf courses and suburban lawns, and industrial poultry and pig farms. This can generate devastating blooms of algae, such as red tide and brown tide, which cause massive fish kills, then sink in thick carpets to the bottom, where they smother plants and shellfish, suck dissolved oxygen from the water, and leave dead zones that expand year by year.
“In the natural ecosystem, menhaden cleaned the upper layers while another great filter feeder, the oyster, cleaned the bottom. But as oysters have been driven to near extinction in many Atlantic bays and estuaries by overfishing and pollution, menhaden are left as the only remaining check on deadly phytoplankton explosions.”
According to observations made by James Price of the Chesapeake Bay Ecological Foundation, striped bass in the Chesapeake Bay have been now found diseased, thin and covered with red sores. In examining their stomach contents, he states that the stomachs that were once filled with menhaden can now be found empty. The dwindling numbers of over-fished menhaden have now been further decimated by the recent fish kills that occurred after the Gulf was filled with BP’s oil, and Nalco’s Corexit.
In looking at who is on Nalco’s boards of directors, and at current or former affiliations with other large corporations, one director of Nalco is Douglas A. Pertz. Mr. Pertz was also the CEO of IMC Global, which later merged with part of Cargill forming The Mosaic Company, for which he also served on the board of directors. Mosaic is another extremely large company that many have not heard of because it keeps a highly profitable portion of its business, for the most part, just under the radar.
The Mosaic Company is one of the largest phosphate fertilizer mining operations on earth. From its phosphate fertilizer, Mosaic then “scrubs,” removes and captures toxic fluorides along with other pollutants and radioactive wastes found in phosphate rock that has no use by the fertilizer industry. This gaseous slurry that contains fluoride is then distributed and sold throughout North America, largely by the Lucier Company. It is sold to our municipal waterworks companies to be used as “water fluoridation,” which is another chemical experiment.
The production of “water fluoridation” from phosphate fertilizer waste materials is a highly profitable, very dependable, but relatively unknown branch of the phosphate fertilizer industry. Common sense will lead one to understand why this profitable and ever-expanding operation throughout theUS is not openly and proudly advertised: Many people are now aware of and opposed to the “fluoridation” lie, but have no voice. Further investigation of why Mosaic is keeping quiet reveals another chemical experiment now conducted on 70% of the US, who have no choice but to submit to their tap water.
An article written by George Glasser, who is a respected investigative environmental journalist, further explains. Although this slurry used in water fluoridation is referred to as “fluoride,” it is actually much more. “The product is not ‘fluorine’ or ‘fluoride’ as proponents state,” Mr. Glasser writes. “It is a pollution concentrate. Fluorine is only one captured pollutant comprising [about 19% to] 23% of the total product,” Mr. Glasser writes. Included in the concentrate making up the remaining percentage is whatever else that is not desired by the fertilizer industry, including polonium and other deadly agents.
The municipal waterworks folks have been led to believe that fluorides became something suddenly needed by the human body after the Atomic Bomb Era when fluoride wastes became ubiquitous in the US. The municipalities then add this slurry into our drinking water. Various officials claim that we all need to drink this chemical to prevent cavities in our teeth whether we want it or not, or whether we even have teeth or are as edentulous (i.e., toothless) as the many “optimally fluoridated” people of Kentucky now are. The people of Kentucky have been “optimally fluoridated” at almost 100% for a long time. They have won government awards for being “optimally fluoridated,” but those award-winning folks now have one of the highest rates of dental cavities and toothlessness in the US, perhaps because fluoride is known to cause and exacerbate periodontal disease. It has never been found to prevent cavities. Boiling fluoridated water increases the concentration of the fluoride; freezing it does nothing to remove the fluoride. Bathing in fluoridated water it results in dermal absorption.
It is unknown whether the municipal waterworks “officials” perform their own assays on each new shipment of pollutants they purchase from the phosphate fertilizer industry and distributors. Assays would be the only way of determining what else in addition to fluoride, including polonium, is in the tank before disposing of it on behalf of the fertilizer industry into our drinking water. Each shipment contains a unique percentage of pollutants and levels of radioactivity. Concerned lawyers reading this should note that if the municipal “authorities” are not performing individual assays on each shipment of “fluorides,” then they can and should be held liable for breaking standing laws by deliberately contaminating public drinking water with unknown pollutants. This is now classified as an act of terrorism. It should also be known that testing should not be done by common Ion Specific Electrodes that only detect the presence of fluoride but cannot accurately report elevated levels. The far more sophisticated test is forensic Ion Chromatography, which gives accurate reading levels of fluoride. At this time, therefore, it is doubtful that most know what level of fluoride waste is being placed in our drinking water or how much is coming out of our taps.
Unlike other chemical pharmaceuticals, no physician will ever check the public citizen who is drinking deliberately contaminated water to see whether he or she is having any detrimental, allergic reactions to their “fluoride” treatment, because professional follow-up services were never a part of the national fluoride treatment plan. The individual and entire household never really received a prescription for their lifelong, daily dosing of fluoride in the first place. No physician would prescribe a life-long chemical pharmaceutical medication and then have no medical follow-up plans to make sure that the patient was doing well on their “medication.”
We are being medicated by politicians, corporate presidents, directors, and CEOs whose main concern is making money. The CDC, which is a pharmaceutical propaganda mouthpiece, has pronounced water fluoridation as one of the “Ten Great Public Health Achievements” during the 1900s, which is true in a sinister sort of way. Those who are being forced to drink the fluoride wastes are not the ones benefiting from this “great achievement.” Fluoridation is a “great achievement” for the corporations selling it, and then fluoridation becomes a “great achievement” for the pharmaceutical industry, which is the largest, most profitable industry in the US. The pharmaceutical industry reaps benefits from fluoridation by treating the resulting national symptoms.
Most physicians have no training regarding fluoride’s systemic effects and symptoms. This is despite the fact that virtually all patients now are contaminated with fluoride toxins from water, air, processed foods, fluorinated drugs, dental retardation activities, teas, beverages, wine, grapes, raisins, household cleansers, floor wax, Scotchguard, Stainmaster, insecticides, pesticides, Teflon-coated pans, food packaging, plastics and toothpastes.
Fluoride has been known since the 1930s in Germany to block thyroid function. Some of the symptoms of fluoride poisoning include depression, behavioral problems, aggression, weight gain, aches, pains, tendon/muscle rupture, severe kidney problems, skeletal problems, erectile dysfunction, visual problems, muscle spasms and twitches, connective tissue damage, cancer, heart problems, lung problems, premature aging because of collagen breakdown, declining IQ, severe GERD, mental confusion, gum disease, tooth rot, and Barrett’s esophagus, etc. It has been known for years that fluoride forms concretions in the pineal gland, located within the brain. It affects every part of the body because it is a systemic poison, not a nutrient as the propaganda mouthpieces continue to claim. The effect of fluoride on kidney patients is so severe that the use of water containing elevated fluoride levels during dialysis has resulted in patient deaths.
Despite the fact that the Mosaic company keeps a rather low profile, they have shown their own unconscionable activities carried out for money. According to the Miami Herald, St. Petersburg crabber Howard Curd’s crab fishing grounds in Tampa Bay were “killed off when HurricaneFrances blew out a retaining wall at a phosphate pit that spewed acidic water into the bay. The fertilizer company, Mosaic, persuaded a trial court and an appeals court that Curd and other fishermen couldn’t sue because they didn’t own the seafood that was potentially killed, so they weren’t technically damaged.”
Curd said, “‘Crabbing in the bay is bouncing back, but the BP spill is depressing seafood sales even though the oil is nowhere near the western coast of Florida.’ He’s prepared to sue BP, but harbors no illusions about facing a big corporation in court.”
Curd further said, “They’ve got all the money, and all the attorneys and all the experts on retainer. It really doesn’t cost them anything. It’s like it’s cheaper to pay their attorneys and fight in court than paying the money to people they hurt and doing the right thing.”
Another director Nalco is J. Erik Fyrwald, Nalco’s CEO, and President. According to Nalco, Mr. Fyrwald is also on the Board of Directors of Eli Lilly and Co., and was Group Vice President of DuPont’s “Agriculture and Nutrition” division, a division name that might qualify as an oxymoron to anyone who knows anything about nutrition and the current state of the US petrochemical, agricultural industry.
Also among Nalco’s board members is Richard Friedman. According to Bloomberg, Mr. Friedman is the head of Goldman Sachs, as well as on the board of trustees of New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital, to which he recently gave $20 million for the creation of the Friedman Brain Institute, according to the Wall Street Journal. It should be noted that if one has acute fluoride poisoning in NYC, you cannot have your urine tested for fluoride anywhere in New York or surrounding areas. Your urine will have to be FedExed out of New York to a remote forensic lab for ion chromatography fluoride testing. (Perhaps the Friedman Brain Institute can look into those somewhat troubling pineal gland concretions.)
Also on the board of Nalco is Daniel Sanders. According to Forbes, Mr. Sanders is the former President of ExxonMobil Chemical Company.
Also onboard Nalco is Rodney Frank Chase. According to Bloomberg’s BusinessWeek.com, Mr. Chase has been a senior advisor of Lehman Brothers, as well as former Deputy Group Chief Executive of BP, Managing Director, and CEO of BP Finance International.
Also among the list of directors on Nalco is Mary Margaret VanDeWeghe. According to various sources, Ms. VanDeWeghe has been a high-ranking executive with the Lockheed Martin Corporation. Lockheed Martin emerged after a fusion between Lockheed and Martin Marietta. According to the Lockheed website the corporation is the world’s “leading provider of safety-critical nuclear instrumentation & control (I&C) systems for commercial and DoD customers for over 50 years.” It now owns several Superfund sites that were at some point contaminated with chemicals. One is near Columbine, where a massacre happened. Another is in Paducah, near another school massacre. We do not know what the chemicals are doing to us.
Also on Nalco’s board is Carl M. Casale. Most of us have probably never heard of Carl Casale, but a closer look at corporate affiliations and a comparison of photos indicates that Mr. Carl M. Casale is also the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Monsanto.
In 2005, the EPA and DuPont settled a lawsuit in which the EPA charged DuPont with knowing about the dangers of C8 (perfluorooctanoic acid, another form of fluoride used in the production of Teflon), contaminating a town’s drinking water with it and keeping quiet for approximately 20 years. According to the EWG, this hiding allowed “DuPont more than two decades of multi-hundred million dollar annual profits, while guaranteeing contamination of the entire planet with Teflon [fluoride] chemicals, now recognized as persistent global pollutants that nearly universally pollute human blood.”
In 2006, BP announced that it was forming a partnership with DuPont in order to create new biofuels. In 2006, Monsanto announced it was going to create a genetically modified (GM) soybean that would have high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids. Health markets were newly and increasingly profitable for omega-3 products. The primary source of the omega-3 fatty acids had been the menhaden, but Monsanto warned that fish populations were being depleted, and that a more renewable, land-based source of omega-3 fatty acid was needed for our good health. Monsanto said their new GM omega-3 soybeans should be ready by about 2010 or 2011. Monsanto then partnered with Solae, which is primarily owned by DuPont, to bring about new GM soybeans.
“Soy beans represent a renewable, land-based source of omega-3s,” said Jerry Steiner, Executive Vice President of Monsanto (Sustainability & Corporate Affairs).
According to a 2007 article in Food Navigator-USA.com, “Consumer awareness of the health benefits of omega-3 has sky-rocketed in recent years as the scientific evidence stacks up. Industry experts predict that the market for omega-3 products could be worth as much as $7bn by 2011. But concerns over the sustainability of fish sources, as well as the amount of fish oil available to the nutrition industry as demand for crude fish oil from the aquaculture industry increases.” Indeed, this same article goes on to state, “The problem with plant sources like flax, however, is that they yield upALA, a shorter chain fatty acid which is less bioavailable for humans than DHA and EPA, of which fish is the best source. This was the spur for Monsanto and Solae/Dupont to embark on their respective R&D [Research and Development] projects.”
At the end of May, 2010, an article in the Chemical and Engineering News carried the following headline: “Gulf Oil Spill Boosts Nalco Sales,” and then stated, “Water treatment firm Nalco has told investors that it expects sales of dispersants used in the Gulf of Mexico oil spill will have reached $40 million by May 21.”
In June, 2010, NutraIngredients-USA.com announced, “Omega-3 is ‘among the most successful functional ingredients ever, with sales of omega-3 ingredients destined for processed foods undented by the global economic turndown,’ according to Euromonitor.” According to a Monsanto press release dated July 10, 2010, food companies are now testing a new product: “Soymega, the world’s first SDA (stearidonic acid) soybean oil, is making it easier for food companies to incorporate more omega-3s into a variety of products.” The press release also states, “SDA soybean oil is the result of a collaboration project between Solae and Monsanto Company.” The downside of this is that many people feel that the consumption of GM foods, as well as r-BGH/r-BST dairy are more chemical experiments with end-results unknown. The “r” in rBST stands for “recombinant.” Monsanto sold its bovine growth hormone to Eli Lilly in 2008, indicating perhaps that Monsanto was giving up on its long battle trying to convince the consumer that engineered dairy was “identical” to non-rBST dairy. The public literally was not buying it.
This tells us how powerful we, as consumers, actually are. We are more powerful than monopolies. Our first line of business at this moment is to call for a moratorium on all “menhaden reduction” fishing activities so that the menhaden can be allowed to replenish their population and act as the oceans’ natural filters, and thus increase the world’s declining oxygen levels. The earth, in fact, might depend on this act. If the government will not step up and realize it must regulate and protect this important fish, then we consumers can stand up and avoid all menhaden products until the little fish makes a powerful comeback. Then we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Choose another type of fatty fish for omega-3s. .
Our second line of business will require the help of lawyers. We need to sue the hell out of the municipal waterworks companies until they stop putting fluoride wastes and other unknown toxic pollutants into our drinking water. Those responsible for doing this should know they are going to be held criminally accountable for deliberately adding pollutants into drinking water. According to the Nuremberg Code, Directives for Human Experimentation, the first code states: “The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.” This has never happened. Number 10 states: “During the course of the experiment the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe . . . the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.” We now have probable cause.

Salt is Your Friend Sugar is you Enemy

Salt is essential for life — you cannot live without it.
Salt has been important to humanity for life on this planet. Even the word “salary” comes from sal because Romans were paid in salt.
African and European explorers traded an ounce of salt for an ounce of gold — salt was literally worth its weight in gold.
Unrefined natural salt is important to many biological processes, including:
* Being a major component of your blood plasma, lymphatic fluid, extracellular fluid, and even amniotic fluid
* Carrying nutrients into and out of your cells
* Helping the lining of your blood vessels to regulate blood pressure
* Helping you regulate propagation of nerve impulses
* Helping your brain send communication signals to your muscles, so that you can move on demand (sodium-potassium ion exchange)
Having outlined the importance of salt it is important to realize that too much sodium can hurt you, but the same can be said of most things — even oxygen and water.
Indeed, there is far too much sodium in processed foods. But you shouldn’t be eating those foods anyway — high sodium is but one of MANY ingredients in processed foods that will ruin your immune system and cut your precious life short.
One of the latest harmful ingredients is methanol. This toxic alcohol poison is typically in nearly all fresh vegetables and fruits but is bound to pectin so it does not typically cause problems. But once they are canned in glass or aluminum the methanol dissociates from the pectin and can elevate to very high levels and contribute to diseases like MS.
But getting back to salt, the general question remains — is it harmful?
Salts of the Earth
As it turns out, salt is a very general term that can mean many things. All salts are NOT equal in terms of origin, chemistry, crystal structure, biological effects — or even flavor!
Chemically speaking, a salt is simply any ionic compound arising from the joining of a positively charged ion and a negatively charged ion, so that the product is electrically neutral.
When people talk about salt, they are usually referring to refined table salt, or sodium chloride. But in fact, most minerals are salts, including magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) and ammonium nitrate (used in fertilizer).
But with typically edible salts, most people do not realize there are enormous differences between common, refined table salt and natural, unrefined salt.
One is health damaging, and the other is healing.
ALERT — Natural Salt is 85 Percent Sodium Chloride and Processed Salt is 98 Percent
Ordinary table salt undergoes a great deal of processing between the factory and your grocer. It is approximately 97.5 percent sodium chloride and 2.5 percent chemicals such as iodine and moisture absorbents, dried at over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. This high heat alters the natural chemical structure of the salt.
By contrast, unrefined salt is 84 percent sodium chloride and 16 percent other naturally occurring minerals, including many trace minerals like silicon, phosphorous and vanadium.
If you want your body to function properly, you need a balanced salt, complete with all-natural elements and free of pollutants. I will speak more about my favorite natural salt a bit later.
The important point is, today’s ordinary table salt has nothing in common with natural sea salt.
The Adulteration of Table Salt
What remains after ordinary table salt is “chemically cleaned” is sodium chloride, an unnatural chemical form of salt that your body recognizes as something completely foreign. Therefore, when you add more salt to your already salty Spaghettios, your body receives more salt than it can dispose of.
Typical processed salt has independent crystals that are totally isolated from each other. In order for your body to try to metabolize processed salt , it must sacrifice tremendous amounts of energy.
Inorganic sodium chloride in the form of processed salt can keep you from an ideal fluid balance and can overburden your elimination system.
When your body tries to isolate the excess salt, water molecules must surround the sodium chloride to break them up into sodium and chloride ions before your body can neutralize them. To accomplish this, water is taken from your cells.
This results in a less-than-ideal fluid balance within your cells.
Every gram of excess sodium chloride your body has to neutralize uses up 23 grams of cellular water. Hence, eating too much common processed salt will cause fluid to accumulate in your tissues, which contributes to:
* Unsightly cellulite
* Rheumatism, arthritis and gout
* Kidney and gall bladder stones
Processed salt will also oftentimes contain potentially dangerous preservatives.
Calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and aluminum hydroxide are often added to improve salt’s “pourability.” Aluminum is a light alloy that deposits into your brain — a potential cause of Alzheimer’s disease.
Current Sodium Recommendations
The American Heart Association has suggested limiting your sodium consumption to fewer than 1,500 mg per day to decrease your risk for high blood pressure, stroke and weight gain.
The CDC reports less than ten percent of adults are meeting this limit, and some studies have suggested many Americans are consuming more than 7,000 mg of salt per day, which is the equivalent of approximately 3 teaspoons of table salt.
The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition considers a product high in sodium if it contains more than 500 milligrams per 100 gram serving. Similarly, it considers a product low in sodium if it contains less than 120 milligrams per 100 grams.
The foods highest in sodium tend to be processed meats, which often contain a whopping 800 mg per 100 gram serving!
It probably makes sense to limit your intake of refined processed salts to these levels. However, if you are healthy your body should be able to easily tolerate much higher levels of unprocessed salts.
The only exception would be for those who have heart failure and are very sensitive to fluid overload. Those with congestive heart failure (CHF) will typically be on a number of different drugs to improve cardiac function.
So those with established CHF should maintain strict sodium restrictions but should also look into the many effective natural options out there like ubiquinol which has been shown to be highly effective in improving those with lowered cardiac ejection fractions.
Why are Processed Foods so Loaded With Sodium?
At one time, salting was one of the few ways people could preserve foods. Salt kills bacteria that can cause food to spoil.
But today, between chemical preservatives and refrigeration, salt is added for other reasons — and it’s added to processed foods in HUGE amounts. The reason for this has more to do with the fact that salt is an inexpensive way to improve the taste of overcooked, bland, nutrient-butchered carnage in a can that some people call food.
Salt is used in high amounts in lunchmeats and cheeses to extend shelf life. Sodium also helps bind ingredients together and acts as a stabilizer.
Besides sodium chloride, sodium is also a component of other ingredients you will find on your labels, further driving up your sodium level:
* Monosodium glutamate (MSG)
* Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
* Sodium benzoate
* Sodium nitrate
* Sodium saccharin
Hypertension Is Driven More by Excess SUGAR than Excess Salt
While I certainly agree you should not consume large quantities of refined processed salt, just switching to low-sodium foods — especially those in a box or a can — is not going to get you very far toward your health goals.
There are other factors that control fluid and electrolyte balance, blood pressure, kidney disease, obesity and cardiovascular disease.
For example, one of the greatest revelations of late is the link between fructose consumption and hypertension. Uric acid is a byproduct of fructose metabolism, and increased uric acid levels drive up your blood pressure. The amount of salt people in this country are consuming pales in comparison to the amount of fructose they are eating on a daily basis, yet the AMA issues no warnings about this.
I believe that sugar/fructose consumption is the major driving force behind our ever-increasingly elevated blood pressures.
Can Your Sodium be Too LOW?
Yes it can!
You may not be aware of this, but you have an increased risk for health problems if your sodium is too low (hyponatremia). For example:
* A 2009 study of large-bone fractures in the elderly found the incidence of hyponatremia in patients with fractures was MORE THAN DOUBLE that of non-fracture patients. They postulated the reason for the sodium deficiency might have been the use of selective serotonin receptor inhibitors (SSRIs), a type of antidepressant drugs.
* A 1995 study by the AMA published in the journal Hypertension found low urinary sodium associated with an increased risk of heart attack.
Changes in mood and appetite are among the first noticeable manifestations of sodium deficiency, since salt is a natural antidepressant.
And the preponderance of evidence proves that sodium intake does NOT affect blood pressure unless you are especially sodium-sensitive.
Salt as Nature Intended It: Himalayan Crystal Salt
The more you can move toward a diet of whole foods in their natural state, the healthier you’ll be — whether it’s veggies, meat, dairy products, or salt. If you are a protein type, you will need more salt than your fellow carbohydrate types.
Given that salt is absolutely essential to good health, I highly recommend switching to my favorite unrefined salt, an all-natural source from the Himalayas.
This salt is very special — it is completely pure, having spent many thousands of years maturing under extreme tectonic pressure, far away from exposure to impurities, so it isn’t polluted with the heavy metals and industrial toxins of today. And it’s minimally processed — hand-mined and hand-washed.

* Sinus Flush: Mix with pure water in a neti pot a 1 percent solution (normal saline) with warm water for a beneficial sinus or allergy treatment; use 1 gram per 100ml (one-fifth teaspoon in 3.34 ounces lukewarm water).
* Eye rinse: The same 1 percent solution rejuvenates tired or irritated eyes.
* Throat gargle: To treat a cold or sore throat, gargle with a 1 percent saltwater solution (but don’t swallow).

( On Saturday afternoon, Epcor updated its statement to note South Surrey residences effected are located on 16 Avenue between 148 Street and 136 Street, and have been notified directly by the company. It had removed references to Semiahmoo First Nation.)

Further sampling and testing is currently being conducted in the system water pipes and some neighbourhood homes. This precautionary measure should be followed until further notice.
Residents are advised to bring their water to a rapid, rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes, including drinking, making infant formula and juices, cooking, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice. Alternatively, residents may use bottled water.
EPCOR is currently flushing and cleaning the distribution system to ensure water quality.
Regular updates will be available as further testing is done and until the boil water advisory is canceled. This precautionary boil water notice is expected to be in effect for one week and may be ended sooner.
The boil water notice applies to the municipal water supply for the City of White Rock and, with a limited number of exceptions, does not affect residences in South Surrey.

What should I do?
Your tap water remains safe for washing clothes and bathing, however residents are advised to:
• Boil their tap water for at least one minute before drinking the water.
• Boil the water before washing vegetables or anything else you eat or drink.
• Boil the water before you brush your teeth or clean your dentures and do not use ice cubes unless they have been made with boiled water.
Am I OK to water my plants, vegetable garden etc.?
Plants will not absorb coliform bacteria. Edibles that have been recently watered should be cleaned carefully with boiled water and a little soap before eating.
What about using my dishwasher or coffeemaker?
Although a dishwasher’s heat cycle will kill the coliforms, there is still the possibility of water in glasses, etc. Please wash your dishes in water that has been boiled for at least one minute.
Coffee makers do not get hot enough for a long enough period of time to kill the coliforms. Please boil water for at least one minute before using.
How long is the advisory in effect?

Fluoride pastes way to go
THE decision to stop future sales of non-fluoride toothpastes was done in the interest of aligning Fiji to better developed countries and improving oral hygiene.
Head of the Ministry of Health Dr Neil Sharma said it was an established fact that fluoride protected teeth and prevented infections which damaged teeth and gums and eventually led to rheumatic heart problems.
Responding to concerns raised by letter writers who claimed fluoride was a toxic chemical and that the public should be allowed a choice between fluoride and non-fluoride toothpastes, Dr Sharma said there was no need to do research to know that dental cavities were a major problem in Fiji.
“In medicine, we all know that any overdose is poison. The quantity of fluoride used in water is one part per million (1ppm) and it is an established fact that fluoride protects the teeth.
There are only two sources of fluoride and that is through the water supplies and toothpaste. If the developed nations are doing this why can’t we do it in Fiji? It doesn’t mean that we are poor and can’t afford to give our children proper oral hygiene,” he said.
Dr Sharma said apart from trying to improve the number of dental hygienists and introducing a postgraduate program that would raise issues of discussion for local dentists, emphasis also had to be placed on improving infrastructure. Asked about latest statistics on the state of oral health in Fiji, Dr Sharma said the last survey was done in 2004 and he had recently authorised another survey to be conducted as soon as possible.

Many Sunscreens May ADD to CANCER
The incidence of skin cancer has risen dramatically over the last 25 years. Why is that. Well maybe this article below can raise that answer to that question.
WASHINGTON (May 24) — Almost half of the 500 most popular sunscreen products may actually increase the speed at which malignant cells develop and spread skin cancer because they contain vitamin A or its derivatives, according to an evaluation of those products released today.
AOL News also has learned through documents and interviews that the Food and Drug Administration has known of the potential danger for as long as a decade without alerting the public, which the FDA denies.
The study was released with Memorial Day weekend approaching. Store shelves throughout the country are already crammed with tubes, jars, bottles and spray cans of sunscreen.
The white goop, creams and ointments might prevent sunburn. But don’t count on them to keep the ultraviolet light from destroying your skin cells and causing tumors and lesions, according to researchers at Environmental Working Group.
In their annual report to consumers on sunscreen, they say that only 39 of the 500 products they examined were considered safe and effective to use.
The report cites these problems with bogus sun protection factor (SPF) numbers:
* The use of the hormone-disrupting chemical oxybenzone, which penetrates the skin and enters the bloodstream.
* Overstated claims about performance.
* The lack of needed regulations and oversight by the Food and Drug Administration.
But the most alarming disclosure in this year’s report is the finding that vitamin A and its derivatives, retinol and retinyl palmitate, may speed up the cancer that sunscreen is used to prevent.

A Dangerous Additive
The industry includes vitamin A in its sunscreen formulations because it is an anti-oxidant that slows skin aging.
But the EWG researchers found the initial findings of an FDA study of vitamin A’s photocarcinogenic properties, meaning the possibility that it results in cancerous tumors when used on skin exposed to sunlight.
“In that yearlong study, tumors and lesions developed up to 21 percent faster in lab animals coated in a vitamin A-laced cream than animals treated with a vitamin-free cream,” the report said.
The conclusion came from EWG’s analysis of initial findings released last fall by the FDA and the National Toxicology Program, the federal government’s principle evaluator of substances that raise public health concerns.
EWG’s conclusions were subsequently scrutinized by outside toxicologists.
Based on the strength of the findings by FDA’s own scientists, many in the public health community say they can’t believe nor understand why the agency hasn’t already notified the public of the possible danger.
“There was enough evidence 10 years ago for FDA to caution consumers against the use of vitamin A in sunscreens,” Jane Houlihan, EWG’s senior vice president for research, told AOL News.
“FDA launched this one-year study, completed their research and now 10 years later, they say nothing about it, just silence.”
On Friday, the FDA said the allegations are not true.
“We have thoroughly checked and are not aware of any studies,” an FDA spokesperson told AOL News. She said she checked with bosses throughout the agency and found no one who knew of the vitamin A sunscreen research being done by or on behalf of the agency.
But documents from the FDA and the National Toxicology Program showed that the agency had done the research.
“Retinyl palmitate was selected by (FDA’s) Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition for photo-toxicity and photocarcinogenicity testing based on the increasingly widespread use of this compound in cosmetic retail products for use on sun-exposed skin,” said an October 2000 report by the National Toxicology Program.
FDA’s own website said the animal studies were done at its National Center for Toxicological Research in Jefferson, Ark. And it was scientists from the FDA center and National Toxicology Program who posted the study data last fall.
In a perfect world
The ideal sunscreen would completely block the UV rays that cause sunburn, immune suppression and damaging free radicals. It would remain effective on the skin for several hours and not form harmful ingredients when degraded by UV light, the report said.

But in the U.S., there is currently no sunscreen that meets all of these criteria. European countries have more chemical combinations to offer, but in the U.S. the major choice is between the “chemical” sunscreens, which have inferior stability, penetrate the skin and may disrupt the body’s hormone systems, and “mineral” sunscreens zinc and titanium dioxide.
Increasingly, as AOL News reported in March, the industry is using titanium dioxide that is made nanosized, which a growing number of researchers believe have serious health implications.
The sunscreen industry cringes when EWG releases its yearly report — this is its fourth. The industry charges that the advocacy group wants to do away with all sunscreen products, a claim that is not accurate.
The report’s researchers clearly say that an effective sunscreen prevents more damage than it causes, but it wants consumers to have accurate information on the limitations of what they buy and on the potentially harmful chemicals in some of those products.
EWG does warn consumers not to depend on any sunscreen for primary protection from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays. Hats, clothing and shade are still the most reliable sun protection available, they say.
Don’t count on the numbers
Some of us are old enough to remember when the idea of having a tan was good, a sign of health, when billboards and magazine ads featured the Coppertone girl showing off her tan when a puppy pulls down her bathing suit bottom.
Going for that tan, we coated our kids and ourselves with sun blockers with sun protection factors of 1 or 2. Some overly cautious parents might have smeared on a 4 during the hottest part of a day.
But we’ve learned of the dangers that come from exposure to the sun’s rays, especially ultraviolet A and B. So today, drugstore shelves are crammed with sunscreens boasting SPFs of 30, 45, 80 or even higher.
However, the new report says those numbers are often meaningless and dangerous because products with high SPF ratings sell a false sense of security, encouraging people using them to stay out in the sun longer.
“People don’t get the high SPF they pay for,” the report says. “People apply about a quarter of the recommended amount. So in everyday practice, a product labeled SPF 100 really performs like SPF 3.2, an SPF 30 rating equates to a 2.3 and an SPF 15 translates to 2.”
In 2007, the report says, the FDA published proposed regulations that would prohibit manufacturers from labeling sunscreens with an SPF higher than “SPF 50.” The agency wrote that higher values would be “inherently misleading,” given that “there is no assurance that the specific values themselves are in fact truthful.”
This is being widely ignored by the sunscreen makers who are heavily advertising their 80, 90 and 100 SPF products.
“Flouting FDA’s proposed regulation,” companies substantially increased their high-SPF offerings in 2010 with one in six brands now listing SPF values higher than 50. “Neutrogena and Banana Boat stand out among the offenders, with six and four products labeled as ‘SPF 100,’ respectively,” the new report says.

Chemtrails: The Consequences of Toxic Metals and Chemical Aerosols on Human Health Part I

For decades, we have known that heavy metals and chemicals can cause grave physical harm. Going back to Rachel Carson’s “Silent Spring,” we have known and been amply warned of the serious consequences of using or being exposed to these poisons in our daily activities. Thousands of these are well-documented carcinogens.
Building on Carson’s ground-breaking research, we also know that certain kinds of chemicals can and do disrupt human [and other animals’] entire immune system. Going back 30 years, researchers were investigating what became known as endocrine [hormone] disrupting chemicals and how they were affecting frogs [who sometimes had five legs or hermaphroditic characteristics], other aquatic animals, and mammals. These animals were the proverbial canaries in the coal mine. In another pioneering book, “Our Stolen Future,” authors Dr. Theo Colburn, Dianne Dumanoski, and John Peterson Myers clearly demonstrate that 1 + 1 hormone-disrupting chemicals did not equal 2. Rather, in a nightmare of mathematical proportions, these poisons acted synergistically; and 1+1 could equal up to 1,600 times the original dose. We are also exposed to more than 100,000 chemicals regularly. Most of them have never been tested for human safety. So, almost nothing has been done to reduce human exposure to a myriad of hazardous chemicals. In fact, over the past decade, the Bush administration dismantled many environmental laws in existence for 30 years, to let corporations off the proverbial hook. [Just look at what’s unfolding in the Gulf with the BP oil spill.]
Although this information, on the dangers of hormone disruption, is now more widely available on Internet sites, it still is not well known by the average person who gets news mostly from mainstream media.(1) Most of these highly toxic chemicals are invisible; and, therefore, are easily off our collective radar. With the high stress level created by the deliberately orchestrated financial crisis –where millions have lost their jobs and homes– a degraded/collapsing environment or serious health problems are not priorities –especially, if very little is reported in mainstream news. This disaster scenario is part of the larger picture of what Naomi Klein writes about in her book “The Shock Doctrine.” We have so many major crises, one after another, that it is hard just to keep up with one’s daily routine –let alone have time to read and consider the toxicological health ramifications of massive amounts of thousands of heavy metals and chemicals that have poisoned our entire food chain and, thus, our own supposed “health.” We are at the very top of this wrecked food chain.
Now, however, there is another far more insidious layer of toxicity that is not being addressed at all in any mainstream, corporate-controlled news, and it is affecting our very survival. It is, however, being addressed more and more by independent researchers who have supporting evidence to back up their Internet reports.
For more than a decade, first the United States and then Canada’s citizens have been subjected to a 24/7/365 day aerosol assault over our heads made of a toxic brew of poisonous heavy metals, chemicals, and other dangerous ingredients. None of this was reported by any mainstream media. The US Department of Defense [DOD] and military have been systematically blanketing all our skies with what are known as Chemtrails (also known as Stratospheric Aerosol Geoengineering).(2) These differ vastly from the usual plane contrails that evaporate rather quickly in the sky. Chemtrails do not dissipate. Rather, planes (fitted with special nozzles) release aerosols “lines” in the sky that do not evaporate. Multiple planes are deployed, flying parallel (or often “checkerboard” patterns) overhead; and soon the sky is blanketed with many grayish-white lines [miles and miles long, although this is changing]. At first, these lines are thin; but soon they expand and, in a short time, merge together. Our once-blue sky has vanished and has been replaced by a grayish-white toxic haze that blots out and greatly diminishes our usual sunshine.
Military and commercial planes are involved in more than 60 secret operations. Last year, when I flew across the country, I saw a United Airlines jet (flying below us at about 37,000 feet) spraying a black aerosol that went for miles and miles across the sky. This clandestine program now includes aerosol-spraying planes in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand [all NATO countries]. Hundreds (if not thousands) of people have called and written their public officials to get answers. Replies from US and Canadian officials are not forthcoming; or, if they do reply, queries are dismissed. This remains an ongoing, deliberate cover-up. No one is held accountable, while we continued to be poisoned daily. This is not the first time, however, that citizens are being used as experimental laboratory test subjects. The US government and its military have a very long and sordid history of using us, without informed consent, in this illegal manner. As Carole Pellatt notes:
The U.S. military has been spraying chemical and biological weapons in open air testing over civilian populations since the 1940’s. They are called “vulnerability tests”. This is not a controversial statement. The military has admitted to this practice on many occasions and there’s plenty of documentation from the government to corroborate it. There is also documentation of intentional, experimental releases of radiation on civilian populations. Unfortunately, this information tends to surface long after it could have saved lives, or eased the suffering of victims.(3)
Over the past decade, independent testing of Chemtrails around the country has shown a dangerous, extremely poisonous brew that includes: barium, nano aluminum-coated fiberglass [known as CHAFF], radioactive thorium, cadmium, chromium, nickel, desiccated blood, mold spores, yellow fungal mycotoxins, ethylene dibromide, and polymer fibers. Barium can be compared to the toxicity of arsenic.(4) Barium is known to adversely affect the heart. Aluminum has a history of damaging brain function. Independent researchers and labs continue to show off-the-scale levels of these poisons. A few “anonymous” officials have acknowledged this on-going aerosol spraying.(5)
Numerous tests have been done to verify that these poisons are off the scale in their toxicity. They are documented in our water, in our soil, and in our air. For more than 10 years, researcher Clifford Carnicom has been valiantly and systematically reporting on the various detrimental aspects of these aerosols –and what they are doing to our entire environment, as well as our blood.(6) Various “sky watch” groups also have been carefully documenting and diligently reporting about these daily assaults.(7)
With all these poisons surrounding our every breath, it is not surprising to see a dramatic increase in illnesses. There are numerous reports of the increase in cardiac deaths and upper respiratory illnesses (asthma, chronic bronchitis, lung cancer, and often multiple chronic illnesses). Chemtrails toxicity has already dramatically affected our deteriorating “collective health.” The significant increase in heart disease and various upper respiratory illnesses has been linked to a vast increase in “particulate matter” in our air. This can be seen by some revealing statistics:
1. Coronary heart disease is now the leading cause of death in the US. According to the CDC, in 2006, 631,636 died of heart disease. This means 1 out of every 5 Americans are affected.(8)
In Canada, every seven minutes someone dies of heart disease.(9)
2. Asthma and upper respiratory illnesses. Between 100-150 million people suffer from asthma worldwide. In the US, 16.4 million adults have asthma and 7 million children have it. Chronic bronchitis and emphysema: 9.8 million Americans were diagnosed with chronic bronchitis this past year; for emphysema the figure is 3.8 million.(10) Total: 37 million Americans afflicted.
In Canada, 2.4 million have been diagnosed with asthma.
3. Particulate matter in air pollution. Particulate matter [PM] consists of tiny particles 10 microns or less. [1 micron is about 1/70 the thickness of a single human hair.] These particles can lodge in the deepest part of your lungs; and over a period of time, they can damage lung function. This kind of pollution, that we breathe daily, can and does cause various upper respiratory illnesses, coronary heart disease, and premature aging and death. Particulate matter can also exacerbate any existing illness.(11) Unanswered questions: Does hazardous particulate matter act in synergistic ways in human bodies (as do endocrine disrupting chemicals)? How does PM affect millions who already have multiple chronic illnesses?
Brain Injury
Even with the increases in preventable illnesses, the issue that has not been linked or addressed –with what Clifford Carnicom rightly calls “aerosol crimes”– is the deterioration of cognitive function. Our immune system is already under siege daily; and this has resulted in millions (possibly billions) of people with not just one illness, but often multiple ones. The skin, the largest organ in our body, is a permeable membrane. This means that invisible toxins in our air, including Chemtrails and other highly dangerous chemicals, go right into our skin. Poisoned rainwater (or snow touching our skin) does the same thing. When the air we breathe is filled with a dangerous assortment of toxins, with each breath we take, these poisons assault our entire immune system. These poisons also affect our brain and, thus, our cognitive function.
Aluminum is a major component in these aerosols. Although it is our planet’s most abundant metal, our body has no biological need for it. Pesticide Action Network North America [PANNA] lists it as “toxic to humans, including carcinogenicity, reproductive and developmental toxicity, neurotoxicity, and acute toxicity.”(12) Yet, aluminum is commonly used [this is a very short list] in vaccines, deodorants and anti-perspirants, over-the-counter medications, soft drink and beer cans [aluminum leeches from the cans], baking powder, cake mixes, processed cheeses, and other food products and additives. Over years, aluminum accumulates in the brain, tissues, and to a lesser amount the bones. It causes brain degeneration, dysfunction and damage –due to the blockage and reduced blood flow and oxygen of brain arteries. The brain shrinks, as brain cells die. This causes dementia. Symptoms include: emotional outbursts, paranoia, forgetfulness and memory loss, speech incoherence, irritability, diminished alertness, changes in personality, and poor/bad judgment. All these are on the rise, as more than 4-million Americans are afflicted. Brain deterioration and dementia take decades to cause serious and visible harm. Eventually, however, dementia is fatal. “Alzheimer’s” is now being used incorrectly as a catch-all term for all kinds of dementia. Just a few days ago, the front page of the New York Times had a headline: “More with Dementia Wander from Home.”(13) People afflicted with, what the Times terms “Alzheimer’s” were interviewed. One person mentioned he “has a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.” This is patently wrong. Alzheimer’s dementia can only be accurately diagnosed after death when a post-mortem can be done. However, heavy metals poisoning can be diagnosed through lab testing; but this is rarely done for basic check-ups.
What is not addressed in this increase in dementia is the more than 10 years of breathing Chemtrails with nano aluminum-coated fiberglass. Billions of tons have been sprayed on us.
With all these sources of aluminum added to the air we breathe with each breath, the cumulative toxicity is very high. Even in daily events, it is obvious –to anyone who is paying attention– that many people are behaving oddly. While it may be considered “anecdotal” reporting, there are millions of people whose behavior is strange. There have been numerous times in just the past year when I have asked someone a question and received an answer that is totally unrelated. There have been more and more uncontrolled outbursts in public areas: someone “snaps” for no apparent reason. Violence levels are up. Look at all the shootings on school campuses. There are more unexplained auto accidents that never should have happened. In just one day a few weeks ago, I witnessed three traffic accidents that need not have happened. The news is full of these stories.
Add to this already highly toxic body burden is the US military’s use of aluminum in its aerosols. It is used because of its electrical conductivity, durability, and light weight. The US Air Force reported in 1997 that it released “2 million, 6-7 ounce bundles of CHAFF.” These are laid by military aircraft form 15-50 miles in length.(14) Another unanswered question: Why is the USAF not releasing up-to-date figures?
A 2002 report notes that: “over the last 25 years, the US Navy [has released from planes] several hundred thousand pounds of aluminized chaff during flight operations over a training area on the Chesapeake Bay.”(15) If the Navy used hundreds of thousands of pounds in just this small area of the US, what could be extrapolated for the release of possibly billions of tons of nano aluminum by all the military divisions throughout the US and Canada more recently than 2002? CHAFF is being stored that has lead in it. Has that been released, without our knowledge, and added to these aerosols? What enormous, yet invisible, harm has that created for all of us?
Dr. Hildegarde Staninger reported last year that “exposure to aerial emissions of nano composite materials resulted in cholinesterase inhibition.”(16) The human body has three kinds of cholinesterase: for the brain, for plasma (manufactured by the liver), and red blood cells. Some pesticides and nerve gases (such as VX, an organophosphate) inhibit cholinesterase. The chronic inhibition of this enzyme (that normally circulates in red blood cells), caused by the spraying of these Chemtrails aerosols [for weather modification, but also used for mosquito and other insect eradication], causes chronic poisoning. This exposure causes severe neurological disorders, including paralysis in humans.
In a ground-breaking 2003 online essay, Dr. Kaye Kilburn, asks: “Why is Chemical Brain Injury Ignored?”(17) His article lists 13 concealed factors that affect our willingness to believe that dangerous chemicals do affect the brain. They include: 1. “It’s all in your head” [meaning real symptoms are ignored by allopathic medicine].
2. Resistance to vulnerability [individuals, and society collectively, cannot believe the brain is at risk].
3. The acceptance of mind-altering prescription drugs [such as Paxil] that can and do affect the brain [millions are on anti-depressants –what long-term damage does that also do to cognitive thinking?].
4. Chemical brain injury is considered not to be “an imminent threat.”
5. Competition from other serious threats [causing indifference or denial];
6. Delay in acknowledging health risks.
7. Economic interests [delaying tactics by big corporations are well known –delay continues profits and ignores taking responsibility –We are all expendable for corporate profits].
8. The field of neurology has been slow to consider causes [how many independent researchers are left who do not have any ties to the pharmaceutical/chemical companies?].
In all these valuable reasons for not addressing this human crisis, the one that Dr. Kilburn has not addressed directly is the chronic assault of breathing/absorbing these now billions of tons of hazardous aerosolized chemicals and heavy metals over more than a decade without our informed consent. When one does not look for or address primary causes, then other issues can be blamed. This, on top of a government’s silence or refusal to respond and the corporate media’s complicity, make for an extremely dangerous combination that puts us all at grave and daily risk. As brain function is diminished, and other things are blamed for it, any population is easier “to control.”
Dr. Kiburn’s research clearly shows that chemicals do affect and seriously harm the brain [and, thereby, cognitive function]. Chemicals –especially a daily onslaught of toxic chemicals over many years– can damage our ability to think clearly. Even if we find this hard to believe, the evidence is there. Dr. Kilburn has expanded this essay into the first book to research this: “Chemical Brain Injury” (published in 1998). Dr. Kilburn notes:
The brain’s preservation represents the only possibility of survival for mankind. To find in many parts of the country and in many individual patients that its function is eroded seriously by chemicals, chemicals that have been introduced into the environment basically in the last 50 years, is bad news indeed.(18)
It seems almost unbelievable that millions/billions of people could look up at the sky and not notice the dramatic changes that have occurred from what it was, for instance, in the mid-1990s. Then our sky was a gorgeous, deep blue. Clouds were a beautiful assortment of shapes. The sun was glorious. But people under 30, may not have a real sense of recollection about looking up every day and seeing this panoramic magnificence. Most of them are too busy texting or chatting on their cell phones. There are other issues to consider, as well: People are in their own comfort zones; and denial is a very powerful human emotion. In the hustle and bustle (now quite out of hand, for reflective time), how many people look up at the sky? It also takes huge courage, a very deep, internal willingness to examine politically motivated corporate controlled media spin, and search for the real answers. Humans like their regular routines. To re-examine what we think we know, based on new evidence, takes a willingness to think outside the proverbial box; to want to find out the truth –not the pervasive Orwellian doublespeak that pervades our society. If everything in our daily routine belies what is truly going on, it requires fortitude to explore the unknown –to question the litany.
Another courageous person is Dr. R. Michael Castle who continues to address the Chemtrails toxicity issue. He is a noted polymer chemist who has been interviewed frequently and has written articles about the extreme hazards of Chemtrails. Dr. Castle has also written a ground-breaking document, the Universal Atmospheric Preservation Act [UAPA]. This document has been in Congress since 2008; but is tied up in committee. Given these issues, since our collapsing society has so many different levels of deceit –the financial debacle, the lies and deceit of government and the Federal Reserve blaming people for the housing/mortgage nightmare, the emerging police state, the disasters that envelope our fragile environment– it becomes increasingly difficult just to maintain a daily routine and survive the economic depression and its daily fallout. Mainstream media does its supporting role and deceives us. Millions, like the proverbial lemmings, hasten to join the group demise. There are countless historical instances of this collective insanity. We Homo sapiens [sic, wise men?] have never learned the lessons of 5,000 years of history. This is because each new generation of corrupt political leaders (often tied historically to previous ones) never has the real interest of their constituents as a basic part of their political practice. Further, there is no Precautionary Principle in place.(19) It’s not the way the political game of deception works. Precaution is not part of an equation that is broken from the beginning. Humans are gullible and want to believe the Orwellian deceptions.
To add to this already heavy burden, to ask uninformed, although supposedly “well educated” [What does that actually mean, given that much of our higher education has omitted much of what Prof. Peter Dale Scott calls “deep political events” that never get into our history books?] people to reconsider what they think they know about what is really going on –this takes enormous internal strength. It requires profound courage. The basis of this “courage” actually means creating new synaptical pathways in the brain. Without them, we feel scared, nervous…because those new synapses have not yet been created. It takes repeated effort, and, thus, an emerging sense of ease, to create these new synapses.
If, however, millions of people are already on prescription pharmaceuticals to “calm them down” [long term, what is this doing to their ability to think clearly?] and, in addition, are breathing poisoned air rife with mind-distorting chemicals, then how clearly (if at all) is anyone able to think? How can anyone feel well and safe, if the very air we breathe is deliberately poisoned and is affecting our ability to think cogently? It is already evident that no one in any official capacity is willing to tell the truth. It is like Diogenes, the ancient Greek, searching for a truthful individual. No one seems to have the desire, or courage, or authority to stop this massive poisoning, because it is the secret plan of the elite insiders to deliberate destroy everything we once knew.
Our BASIC human rights, constitutional and international laws are mere paper. These rights and laws have all been torn asunder by those in charge. It has been done by stealth. We must organize peacefully. PEACEFULLY is the operative word. If these many-pronged aerosol attacks by military and commercial planes can spray these horrific toxins on us, year after year with impunity –against all laws– then it is absolutely imperative that we organize peacefully. As Peter Dale Scott notes in Jason Bermas’ new DVD “Invisible Empire”: we must use the Internet and our peaceful intellectual powers to come together and shut this nightmare down. It is possible to do this.

Last week I was talking with my beautiful daughter about alternative sources of protein in our diets. She is a very busy mother of three young children and needs good energy levels on any given day to keep up with them. She was curious about some protein-type snacks she could give herself and her family. Certainly, if we are resolved that Dr. Young’s alkalarian diet, which excludes most animal and dairy products, is the way to go, then it should follow that we would seek out the best and most assimilative sources of complete essential aminos (proteins). While protein is important for proper functioning of the body, there is also scientific evidence suggesting we can get those protein needs met with small servings of protein—even vegetable-based proteins. Our ability to assimilate and utilize the protein we eat (or drink) is the important factor in my mind.
From Back to the House of Health: The Protein/Calcium Myth pg.13 we read:
“Consider the following clinical study reported in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association. This study compared the essential amino acids in the diets of meat-eaters, lacto-ovo vegetarians (those who eat dairy and eggs), and pure vegan vegetarians. The study uncompromisingly set the protein requirements for each amino acid at the level that would easily cover the needs of growing children and pregnant women. The results? Not only did all three diets provide sufficient protein, they were all well above sufficient, each diet exceeding twice its requirement!
“Dr. T. Colin Campbell director of the Division of nutritional sciences at Cornell University and former senior science advisor to the American Institute for Cancer research has stated:
“There is a strong correlation between dietary protein intake and cancer of the breast, prostate, pancreas, and colon. The culprit in many of the most prevalent and deadly diseases of our time is none other than the very thing many of us have been taught to hold virtually sacred—animal protein.”
This week I have been experimenting on myself with Pistachios as a good protein- enriched snack. I felt very sustained—even grounded when I ate them and noticed no weight gain at all. They are addictive little buggers and of course, and I couldn’t eat just one. The salt on them also satisfied my late afternoon munchy-attack, even better than any sweet treat could have, and I found myself thinking:
HEY, they’re GREEN! They must be GOOD!
And I love anything Italian

I decided to delve deeper into some nutritional facts about pistachios, to validate my indulgence:
Pistachios are rich in potassium, which helps regulate the body’s fluid balance; phosphorus, which helps build bones and teeth; and magnesium, which is an important element in the conversion of the body’s energy. They are also a good source of vitamin B6, which aids protein metabolism and absorption; and thiamine, which enhances energy and promotes normal appetite. Pistachios supply vitamins A and E, both critical in keeping inflammatory pathways in balance.
Pistachios are also a good source of copper, known to strengthen the immune system. They deliver many vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, so they can be considered a nutrient-dense food and the perfect snack for someone who is in a good state of balance or good health. Dr. Young limits nuts like pistachios from the diets of severely sick people but encourages drinking nut milks like almond milk when on his cleanse.
Pistachios are a good source of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These fats reduce blood cholesterol levels and lower the risk of heart disease when they replace saturated fats in the diet. (Institute of Medicine)
After only three weeks of consuming pistachios as 20% of the calories in their diet, volunteers in a double-blind study saw their LDL (or bad cholesterol) drop by about 14%; HDL (or good cholesterol) rose by 26%, with a 12% decrease in total cholesterol. Recent studies show that the amount of inflammation in the blood vessels is often a more important marker for heart disease. A Penn State study showed that even a moderate intake of pistachios increases blood levels of lutein, an antioxidant that protects against oxidized LDL, which is even worse than regular LDL in terms of heart disease.
In trials, people on a 4-week pistachio diet showed no weight gain while improving risk factors for heart disease (Journal of the American College of Nutrition). The study showed that a daily dose of pistachios is beneficial in relation to cardiovascular disease. Study participants had moderately high cholesterol levels and consumed 15% of their calories from pistachios. Over a four-week period, blood lipid levels improved.
The special antioxidants found in pistachios can prevent a harmful process called glycation. Glycation occurs when sugars bond inappropriately to proteins, making the proteins unusable. This is the process by which diabetes damages tissues, and its byproducts are called AGE or Advanced Glycation End-products. So pistachios can be a powerful ally in the treatment of diabetes and its related syndromes. If you are looking to replace animal protein with vegetable protein, pistachios nuts are an excellent source of vegetable protein. The type of protein found in Pistachio nuts is rich in arginine—a precursor to the substance nitric oxide, which helps relax blood vessels in the body, and lower blood pressure. From just a ½ cup of pistachios you can get 6 grams of protein and 310 mgs. of potassium, not to mention all the dietary fiber they contain which is about 3grams per ½ cup.
As a precaution, Dr. Young would prefer that you keep your portion sizes down to ½-1 cup a day (Good Luck!) as 12 grams of dietary protein is plenty to cover your daily needs. Remember, your body is only 7% protein. Also watch for additives in dyed Pistachios. Traditionally pistachios were dyed red to hide stains on the shells from handpicking. Today, pistachio harvests are automated, preventing staining and rendering the dying process obsolete. Avoid dyed pistachios, as many food dyes can be harmful and may produce alergic symptoms in children, especially when consumed in combination with other food additives.
Make sure the pistachios you buy are fresh with the best form being raw. You can always add pHlavor Salt™ spray to make them a truly alkaline snack. One thing is certain—eating pistachios renders significant benefits in relation to human health. Pistachio nuts deliver a nutritious array of important nutrients and compounds that support and assist body function.

If you know me at all, you know that I’m an advocate for whole, unprocessed foods. However, many of us inevitably turn to packaged or processed foods when we are short on time. Maybe we grab a frozen dinner or pizza for a quick dinner for our family. Maybe we grab a quick nutrition bar to satiate our hunger until we can sit down for a real meal. Or maybe, we just don’t like to cook. Whether we like it or not, packaged and processed food has become a huge part of our food industry and, as a result, a part of many of our diets.
Although there are some brands that I hugely advocate for, there are many more that border on outright unhealthy and “scary.” Many packaged foods that seem healthy often contain fillers, preservatives and other ingredients you don’t want in your diet. It is always preferable to choose products that have only a handful of ingredients, all of which should be recognizable. One test to know whether an ingredient is healthy is to ask yourself whether your grandmother would recognize it. If not, there is a good chance the ingredient is less natural food and more man-made chemical. Another good test is whether or not you can easily pronounce the ingredient. If you feel like you need a science degree to pronounce it properly, chances are the ingredient is worth avoiding.
If you do have to resort to a processed food for a snack or dinner (anything canned, packaged, etc.), try to avoid those that contain the ingredients listed in the following chart. Although this isn’t an exhaustive list, these ingredients are some of the most highly processed and least healthy of all:

Some of Britain’s best-known foods contain the controversial chemical bisphenol A, The Independent can reveal.
Tins of Heinz baked beans, soup and beans, John West and Princes fish, and Napolina tomatoes are lined with a membrane containing bisphenol A, or BPA, a molecule of which is pictured top left. Other companies using it in their tins include the biggest retailers in the UK, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda, who use it for tins of tuna and sardines.
Britain’s Food Standards Agency (FSA) has given the chemical the all-clear, in contrast to the US Food and Drug Administration, which in January expressed concern over its impact on the brains and development of young children and said it was “taking reasonable steps to reduce human exposure” to it in the food supply. After the American U-turn, the EU-funded European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) launched and is still carrying out a review of BPA.

Some scientists fear that exposure to minute doses of the chemical in food and other products may be damaging to the health of individuals.
BPA is an endocrine disruptor that interrupts hormones and, in laboratory experiments on animals, has been linked with breast cancer, prostate cancer, hyperactivity and other metabolic and behavioural problems, diseases which are all on the rise in the West. But the plastics and chemicals industries insist its use is safe and accuse campaigners of misleading the public, pointing to industry-funded studies involving large numbers of rodents that have shown no harm.
At stake is the future of one of the highest production volume chemicals in the world. BPA is widely used to harden the plastic casings of mobile phones and computers and makes baby bottles shatterproof. In food products, it commonly lines the inside of cans and tins to protect their contents from being contaminated by the metal.
To establish its prevalence in food, The Independent surveyed manufacturers of the UK’s 20 best-selling tinned foods. Although it is not stated on tins, BPA is used in the linings of 18 out of the 20 products, which have combined annual sales of £921m, or 43 per cent of UK tinned food sales. All the companies said their products were safe because the levels of BPA leaching out into food were so low that they were safe.
However Heinz said it was looking to phase out BPA once alternatives could be found. In a statement, the US tinned food giant said: “Although UK and European food authorities have stated that minute levels of BPA in can coatings are safe, Heinz remains committed to moving to alternatives. For beans, pasta and many soups a protective coating is only applied to the can ends which would not provide any trace of BPA or would be at the limit of detection of a few parts per billion. This compares with the safe legal limit of 600 parts per billion. Heinz continues to advance research into alternative coatings in response to consumer opinion but safety remains our first priority before making any changes.”
Princes, the tinned fish company which also owns the Napolina brand, said: “The inside of most food cans requires a protective coating. Bisphenol A (BPA) is used industry wide as a component part of this coating. It is an approved food contact material and there is guidance from both the FSA and the EFSA regarding its use.”
John West said: “Some of John West’s tinned products are lined with a lacquer that contains a derivate of Bisphenol. By contact tiny amounts of Bisphenol-A are able to migrate within the EU regulation limits.” Baxters, the Scottish soup-maker, said its cans contained “minute” amounts of BPA at levels “substantially lower” than that approved by the EFSA.
Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda, and other producers such as Premier Foods, General Mills and Hormel Foods, the US company which makes Spam, insisted their tins were safe and produced in accordance with current safety regulations.
Tinned drinks also include a membrane with BPA. A spokeswoman for Coca-Cola UK confirmed: “We use BPA in the linings of our cans. Our top priority is to ensure the safety and quality of our products and packaging through rigorous standards that meet or exceed government requirements… All available scientific evidence and testing shows that drinks in aluminium and steel cans are safe.”
According to the FSA, studies have shown that BPA is not harmful to laboratory animals when fed in amounts equivalent to more than exposure levels in humans. However the last review of the safety of BPA in tinned foods in Britain was eight years ago by the Committee on Toxicity. Since then several peer-reviewed scientific studies have detected low-dose effects on animals. These low-dose effects are not currently recognised by British or European regulators.
Breast Cancer UK is among several campaigning organisations which wants to see reductions in BPA used in food and other products. Claire Dimmer, chair of trustees, said: “We welcome the research that the food packaging industry is undertaking to find potential BPA alternatives. But these efforts need to be stepped up significantly. ” She called on manufacturers to introduce clear BPA labelling – “otherwise it’s impossible for us to make a decision on ways of limiting our and our families exposure to this chemical.”

Our BLOOD is most important in Relation to Life
We can begin to trace back human knowledge of the importance of the integrity of our blood to very early periods. Around 1400 BC in fact, we read from the Old Testament:
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood”(Lev 17:11)
“The life of all flesh is the blood”(Lev 17:14)
“It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones”(Prov 3:8)
Whether you take the bible to be fact, fiction or simply a historical document, it is clear that in that day their was an understanding of the importance of blood in relation to the health and vitality of the body. These prophets of their day had some notion that when the blood was healthy the rest of the body would continue to be so.
Now although what food we take into our bodies ultimately affects our blood and therefore our life and longevity, it is not the only significant factor in our optimal overall health and alkalinity. Not only are we what we eat and drink, but we are what we think. Thoughts can keep us stuck in the past or future, distracting us from living in the present, in the “NOW”. In order to get into balance our thoughts must add
to our sense of well being.
All spiritual movements support basic principles that encourage positive thinking and emotions. They promote Hope over Fear.
Living in the past or the future creates emotions that lead to the feelings of regret, worry, and anxiety that can make you more sick, tired, fat or diseased. Your treatments will not be as effective when your thoughts occupy this negative space.In the book Power Vs. Force, Dr. David R. Hawkins rates the energy level of basic human emotions on a scale of 1 to 1000. He states that anything scoring 200 or lower is destructive to the life of the individual and of society. Anything above 200 is the constructive expression of power. As you read consider what you feel in relationship to the emotions described and its numerical value.
How much time do we typically spend on negative emotions?
Your goal is to focus living your life among the higher-ranking & more Alkaline feelings on the scale. This will bring true enlightenment and allow us to not only help ourselves and improve our alkalinity but help others around us.
Although we should fully experience our feelings nothing positive comes from lingering on negative ones.
In reality, health and pH balance is attainable by every single person. We each as individuals decide how we want to feel each day and our personal connection with the Spirit and our Creator, is always available free of charge.

The Hidden Dangers of Cell Phone Radiation

Every day, we’re swimming in a sea of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) produced by electrical appliances, power lines, wiring in buildings, and a slew of other technologies that are part of modern life. From the dishwasher and microwave oven in the kitchen and the clock radio next to your bed, to the cellular phone you hold to your ear—sometimes for hours each day—exposure to EMR is growing and becoming a serious health threat.

But there’s a huge public health crisis looming from one particular threat: EMR from cellular phones—both the radiation from the handsets and from the tower-based antennas carrying the signals—which studies have linked to development of brain tumors, genetic damage, and other exposure-related conditions.1-9 Yet the government and a well-funded cell phone industry media machine continue to mislead the unwary public about the dangers of a product used by billions of people. Most recently, a Danish epidemiological study announced to great fanfare the inaccurate conclusion that cell phone use is completely safe.10
George Carlo, PhD, JD, is an epidemiologist and medical scientist who, from 1993 to 1999, headed the first telecommunications industry-backed studies into the dangers of cell phone use. That program remains the largest in the history of the issue. But he ran afoul of the very industry that hired him when his work revealed preventable health hazards associated with cell phone use.
In this article, we look at why cell phones are dangerous; Dr. Carlo’s years-long battle to bring the truth about cell phone dangers to the public; the industry’s campaign to discredit him and other scientists in the field; and what you can do to protect yourself now.
Cell Phones Reach the Market without Safety Testing
The cellular phone industry was born in the early 1980s, when communications technology that had been developed for the Department of Defense was put into commerce by companies focusing on profits. This group, with big ideas but limited resources, pressured government regulatory agencies—particularly the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)—to allow cell phones to be sold without pre-market testing. The rationale, known as the “low power exclusion,” distinguished cell phones from dangerous microwave ovens based on the amount of power used to push the microwaves. At that time, the only health effect seen from microwaves involved high power strong enough to heat human tissue. The pressure worked, and cell phones were exempted from any type of regulatory oversight, an exemption that continues today. An eager public grabbed up the cell phones, but according to Dr. George Carlo, “Those phones were slowly prompting a host of health problems.”
Today there are more than two billion cell phone users being exposed every day to the dangers of electromagnetic radiation (EMR)—dangers government regulators and the cell phone industry refuse to admit exist. Included are: genetic damage, brain dysfunction, brain tumors, and other conditions such as sleep disorders and headaches.1-9 The amount of time spent on the phone is irrelevant, according to Dr. Carlo, as the danger mechanism is triggered within seconds. Researchers say if there is a safe level of exposure to EMR, it’s so low that we can’t detect it.
The cell phone industry is fully aware of the dangers. In fact, enough scientific evidence exists that some companies’ service contracts prohibit suing the cell phone manufacturer or service provider, or joining a class action lawsuit. Still, the public is largely ignorant of the dangers, while the media regularly trumpets new studies showing cell phones are completely safe to use. Yet, Dr. Carlo points out, “None of those studies can prove safety, no matter how well they’re conducted or who’s conducting them.” What’s going on here? While the answer in itself is simplistic, how we got to this point is complex.
Flawed Danish Study Reports Cell Phones are Safe
In December, 2006, an epidemiological study on cell phone dangers published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute sent the media into a frenzy.10 Newspaper headlines blared: “Danish Study Shows Cell Phone Use is Safe,” while TV newscasters proclaimed, “Go ahead and talk all you want—it’s safe!” The news seemed to be a holiday gift for cell phone users. But unfortunately, it’s a flawed study, funded by the cell phone industry and designed to bring a positive result. The industry’s public relations machine is working in overdrive to assure that the study get top-billing in the media worldwide.
According to Dr. George Carlo, the study, by its design, could not identify even a very large risk. Therefore, any claim that it proves there’s no risk from cell phones is a blatant misrepresentation of the data that will give consumers a very dangerous false sense of security.
“Epidemiological studies are targets for fixing the outcome because they’re observational in nature instead of experimental,” Dr. Carlo explains. “It’s possible to design studies with pre-determined outcomesthat still fall within the range of acceptable science. Thus, even highly flawed epidemiological studies can be published in peer-reviewed journals because they’re judged against a pragmatic set of standards that assume the highest integrity among the investigators.”
Key problems with the study are:
1. There are few discernable differences between who was defined as cell phone users and who wasn’t. Thus, people defined as exposed to radiation were pretty much the same as those defined as not exposed to radiation. With few differences, it’s nearly impossible to find a risk.
2. Users were defined as anyone who made at least one phone call per week for six months between 1982 and 1995. So any person who made 26 calls was a cell phone user and therefore considered exposed to radiation. Those with less than 26 calls were non-users. In reality, the radiation exposure between users and non-users defined in this manner is not discernable.
3. The “exposed” people used ancient cell phone technology bearing little resemblance to cell phones used today. The results, even if reliable, have no relevance to the 2 billion cell phone users today.
4. From 1982 to 1995, cell phone minutes cost much more than today and people used their phones much less. Thus there was very little radiation exposure.
5. During the study’s time frame, people likely to use their cell phones the most were commercial subscribers. Yet this highest exposed group, in whom risk would most easily be identified, was specifically excluded from the study.
6. There were no biological hypotheses tested in the study. It was therefore only a numbers game. Ignored were mechanisms of disease found in other studies of cell phone radiation effects, including genetic damage, blood-brain barrier leakage, and disrupted intercellular communication. The study did not discuss any research supporting the notion that cell phones could cause problems in users.
7. The study itself was inconsistent with cancer statistics published worldwide addressing the Danish population. This study showed a low risk of cancer overall, when in fact Denmark has some of the highest cancer rates in the world. This inconsistency suggested that something in the data does not add up.
The cell phone industry constantly guards its financial interests, but unfortunately, an unwitting public can be harmed in the process, says Dr. Carlo. “Industry-funded studies in many cases now produce industry-desired outcomes. By tampering with the integrity of scientists, scientific systems and public information steps over the lines of propriety that are appropriate for protecting business interests—especially when the casualty of the interference is public health and safety.”

Lawsuit Prompts Safety Studies
In 1993, the cell phone industry was pressured by Congress to invest $28 million into studying cell phone safety. The cause of this sudden concern was massive publicity about a lawsuit filed by Florida businessman David Reynard against cell phone manufacturer NEC. Reynard’s wife, Susan, died of a brain tumor, and he blamed cell phones for her death. Reynard revealed the suit to the public on the Larry King Live show, complete with dramatic x-rays showing the tumor close to where Susan held her cell phone to her head for hours each day.
The next day, telecommunications stocks took a big hit on Wall Street and the media had a field day. The industry trade association at the time, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), went into crisis mode, claiming thousands of studies proved cell phones were safe and what Reynard and his attorney said was bunk. TIA reassured the public that the government had approved cell phones, so that meant they were safe. The media demanded to see the studies, but, says Dr. Carlo, “The industry had lied. The only studies in existence then were on microwave ovens. At that time, 15 million people were using cell phones, a product that had never been tested for safety.”

Cell Phone Radiation: What You Need to Know
* Originally developed for the Department of Defense, cell phones devices were never tested for safety. They entered the marketplace due to a regulatory loophole.
* Questions about cell phone safety arose in the early 1990s, when a businessman filed a lawsuit alleging that cell phones caused his wife’s death due to brain cancer.
* To address the questions surrounding cell phone safety, the cell phone industry set up a non-profit organization, Wireless Technology Research (WTR). Dr. George Carlo was appointed to head WTR’s research efforts.
* Under Dr. Carlo’s direction, scientists found that cell phone radiation caused DNA damage, impaired DNA repair, and interfered with cardiac pacemakers.
* European research confirmed Dr. Carlo’s findings. Studies suggest that cell phone radiation contributes to brain dysfunction, tumors, and potentially to conditions such as autism, attention deficit disorder, neurodegenerative disease, and behavioral and psychological problems.

Forced to take action, the cell phone industry set up a non-profit organization, Wireless Technology Research (WTR), to perform the study. Dr. Carlo developed the program outline and was asked to head the research. Oversight of the issue was charged to the FDA, though it could have and probably should have gone to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which fought hard for jurisdiction. But the industry had enough influence in Washington to get whatever overseer it wanted. It simply didn’t want to tangle with EPA because, says Dr. Carlo, “… the EPA is tough.”
“Anything that’s ever made a difference in terms of public health has come from the EPA,” he says. “But safety issues that are covered in corruption and questions seem to always have a connection to the FDA, which has been manipulated by pharmaceutical companies since it was born.”
When called to help with the cell phone issue, Dr. Carlo was working with the FDA on silicone breast implant research. The choice of Dr. Carlo to head WTR seemed unusual to industry observers. An epidemiologist whose expertise was in public health and how epidemic diseases affect the population, he appeared to lack any experience in researching the effects of EMR on human biology. Based on this, a premature conclusion was drawn by many: Dr. Carlo was an “expert” handpicked by the cell phone industry, and therefore his conclusions would only back up the industry’s claim that cell phones are safe.
Dr. Carlo, however, refused to be an easy target. He quickly recruited a group of prominent scientists to work with him, bulletproof experts owning long lists of credentials and reputations that would negate any perception that the research was predestined to be a sham. He also created a Peer Review Board chaired by Harvard University School of Public Health’s Dr. John Graham, something that made FDA officials more comfortable since, at the time, the agency was making negative headlines due to the breast implant controversy. In total, more than 200 doctors and scientists were involved in the project.
Strict Study Guidelines
Once all involved agreed on what was to be done, Dr. Carlo presented the study’s stakeholders in the industry, the government, and the public with a strict list of criteria for moving forward.
“The money had to be independent of the industry—they had to put the money in trust and couldn’t control who got the funds,” he says. “Second, everything had to be peer reviewed before it went public, so if we did find problems after peer review, we could use that information publicly to recommend interventions.”
A third requirement was for the FDA to create a formal interagency working group to oversee the work and provide input. The purpose of this was to alleviate any perception that the industry was paying for a result, not for the research itself. But the fourth and last requirement was considered by Dr. Carlo to be highly critical: “Everything needed to be done in sunlight. The media had to have access to everything we did.”
The Research Begins
The program began, but Dr. Carlo soon discovered that everyone involved had underlying motives.“The industry wanted an insurance policy and to have the government come out and say everything was fine. The FDA, which looked bad because it didn’t require pre-market testing, could be seen as taking steps to remedy that. By ordering the study, law makers appeared to be doing something. Everyone had a chance to wear a white hat.”
Dr. Carlo and his team developed new exposure systems that could mimic head-only exposure to EMR in people, as those were the only systems that could approximate what really happened with cell phone exposure. Those exposure systems were then used for both in vitro (laboratory) and in vivo (animal) studies. The in vitro studies used human blood and lymph tissue in test tubes and petri dishes that were exposed to EMR. These studies identified the micronuclei in human blood, for example, associated with cell phone near-field radiation. The in vivo studies used head only exposure systems and laboratory rats. These studies identified DNA damage and other genetic markers.
Says Dr. Carlo: “We also conducted four different epidemiological studies on groups of people who used cell phones, and we did clinical intervention studies. For example, studies of people with implanted cardiac pacemakers were instrumental in our making recommendations to prevent interference between cell phones and pacemakers. In all, we conducted more than fifty studies that were peer-reviewed and published in a number of medical and scientific journals.”
Industry Seeks to Discredit Findings, Scientists
But manipulation by the industry had begun almost immediately at the start of research. While Dr. Carlo and his team had never defined their research as being done to prove the safety of cell phones, the industry internally defined it as an insurance policy to prove that phones were safe. From the outset, what was being said by the cell phone industry in public was different from what was being said by the scientists behind closed doors.
The pacemaker studies were a harbinger of bad things to come. Results showed that cell phones do indeed interfere with pacemakers, but moving the phone away from the pacemaker would correct the problem. Amazingly, the industry was extremely upset with the report, complaining that the researchers went off target. When Dr. Carlo and his colleagues published their findings in the New England Journal of Medicine in 1997,11 the industry promptly cut off funding for the overall program. It took nine months for the FDA and the industry to agree on a scaled-down version of the program to continue going forward. Dr. Carlo had volunteered to step down, since he was clearly not seeing eye-to-eye with the industry, but his contract was extended instead, as no one wanted to look bad from a public relations standpoint.
The research continued, and what it uncovered would be a dire warning to cell phone users and the industry’s worst nightmare. When the findings were ready for release in 1998, the scientists were suddenly confronted with another challenge: the industry wanted to take over public dissemination of the information, and it tried everything it could to do so. It was faced with disaster and had a lot to lose.
Fearing the industry would selectively release research results at best, or hold them back at worst, Dr. Carlo and his colleagues took the information public on their own, creating a highly visible war between the scientists and the industry. An ABC News expose on the subject increased the wrath of the industry.
According to Dr. Carlo, “The industry played dirty. It actually hired people to put negative things about me and the other scientists who found problems on the internet, while it tried to distance itself from the program. Auditors were brought in to say we misspent money, but none of that ever held up. They tried every angle possible.”
This included discussions with Dr. Carlo’s ex-wife to try to figure out ways to put pressure on him, he says. Threats to his career came from all directions, and Dr. Carlo learned from Congressional insiders that the word around Washington was that he was “unstable.” But all the character assassination paled in comparison to what happened next.
Toward the end of 1998, Dr. Carlo’s house mysteriously burned down. Public records show that authorities determined the cause of the blaze was arson, but the case was never solved. Dr. Carlo refuses to discuss the incident and will only confirm that it happened. By this time, enough was enough. Dr. Carlo soon went “underground,” shunning the public eye and purposely making himself difficult to find.
Why Cell Phones are Dangerous
A cellular phone is basically a radio that sends signals on waves to a base station. The carrier signal generates two types of radiation fields: a near-field plume and a far-field plume. Living organisms, too, generate electromagnetic fields at the cellular, tissue, organ, and organism level; this is called the biofield. Both the near-field and far-field plumes from cell phones and in the environment can wreak havoc with the human biofield, and when the biofield is compromised in any way, says Dr. Carlo, so is metabolism and physiology.
“The near field plume is the one we’re most concerned with. This plume that’s generated within five or six inches of the center of a cell phone’s antenna is determined by the amount of power necessary to carry the signal to the base station,” he explains. “The more power there is, the farther the plume radiates the dangerous information-carrying radio waves.”
A carrier wave oscillates at 1900 megahertz (MHz) in most phones, which is mostly invisible to our biological tissue and doesn’t do damage. The information-carrying secondary wave necessary to interpret voice or data is the problem, says Dr. Carlo. That wave cycles in a hertz (Hz) range familiar to the body. Your heart, for example, beats at two cycles per second, or two Hz. Our bodies recognize the information-carrying wave as an “invader,” setting in place protective biochemical reactions that alter physiology and cause biological problems that include intracellular free-radical buildup, leakage in the blood-brain barrier, genetic damage, disruption of intercellular communication, and an increase in the risk of tumors. The health dangers of recognizing the signal, therefore, aren’t from direct damage, but rather are due to the biochemical responses in the cell.
Here’s what happens:
* Cellular energy is now used for protection rather than metabolism. Cell membranes harden, keeping nutrients out and waste products in.
* Waste accumulating inside the cells creates a higher concentration of free radicals, leading to both disruption of DNA repair (micronuclei) and cellular dysfunction.
* Unwanted cell death occurs, releasing the micronuclei from the disrupted DNA repair into the fluid between cells (interstitial fluid), where they are free to replicate and proliferate. This, says Dr. Carlo, is the most likely mechanism that contributes to cancer.
* Damage occurs to proteins on the cell membrane, resulting in disruption of intercellular communication. When cells can’t communicate with each other, the result is impaired tissue, organ, and organism function. In the blood-brain barrier, for example, cells can’t keep dangerous chemicals from reaching the brain tissue, which results in damage.
With the background levels of information-carrying radio waves dramatically increasing because of the widespread use of cell phones,Wi-Fi, and other wireless communication, the effects from the near and far-fields are very similar. Overall, says Dr. Carlo, almost all of the acute and chronic symptoms seen in electrosensitive patients can be explained in some part by disrupted intercellular communication. These symptoms of electrosensitivity include inability to sleep, general malaise, and headaches. Could this explain the increase in recent years of conditions such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, and anxiety disorder?
“One thing all these conditions have in common is a disruption, to varying degrees, of intercellular communication. When we were growing up, TV antennas were on top of our houses and such waves were up in the sky. Cell phones and Wi-Fi have brought those things down to the street, integrated them into the environment, and that’s absolutely new. The recognition mechanism, where protein vibration sensors on the cell membrane pick up a signal and interpret it as an invader, only works because the body recognizes something it’s never seen before.”
As to increases in brain tumors tied to cell phone use, it’s too early to tell due to a lack of hard data, says Dr. Carlo. “We’re never going to see that in time to have it matter. Here in the US, we’re six years behind in getting the brain tumor database completed, and currently the best data are from 1999. By the time you see any data showing an increase, the ticking time bomb is set.”
Epidemic curve projections, however, indicate that in 2006, we can expect to see 40,000 to 50,000 cases of brain and eye cancer. This is based on published peer-reviewed studies that allow calculation of risk and construction of epidemic curves. By 2010, says Dr. Carlo, expect that number to be between 400,000 and 500,000 new cases worldwide.
“This means we’re on the beginning curve of an epidemic, with epidemic defined as a change in the occurrence of a disease that is so dramatic in its increase that it portends serious public health consequences,” says Dr. Carlo. “This is what’s not being told to the public. One of the things that I suggest to people who use a cell phone is to use an air tube headset. If you use a wired headset, the current moving through the wire of the headset attracts ambient informational carrying radio waves and thereby increases your exposure.”

This is a stern, yet humble, warning to all citizens of the globe. It is now proven that we are all being harmed by repeat vaccinations. This evidence must be circulated broadly in light of the imminent Fall, 2009 plan to turn North American schools into MASS vaccine centers to institute triple flu vaccine to us all. Children will be the first to be injected with experimental flu vaccines. The entire vaccine industry, as it turns out, has been experimental. In Revelations 18:4 by the epistle of Saint John we are told: “And I heard another voice from Heaven saying “Come out of her my people that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues.” All vaccinations, as you can now clearly see, are causing chronic illness and mass disorders on mass scales. The global health consequences clearly amount to plaques.
As a medically trained Doctor, a PhD trained neuroscientist/neuropsychologist, with a Masters degree in Child/language neurodevelopment, I have been trained to follow clinical observations to empirical assessment couched within the scientific model we rely upon to answer questions of: What is normal and what is not? What is cause? What is coincidence? What is factual? What is fancy? What is reproducible? What is random? What is measurable? What is predictable? What is truth? What is consequence? If you place your hand on a hot stove element, you will be burned. If you do not experience pain and you cannot see the burn, then you will not learn that touching hot stove elements is harmful.
All vaccines have been causing “burns” to body and brain. The brain has no pain receptors. You will not feel the pain. You can, however, see the footprints of these “burns” immediate and delayed, from each vaccination. The evidence was before our eyes all along. We simply did not appreciate what these “burns” meant let alone that they were emerging, after each vaccination. The “burns” are largely to internal organ systems. We can ALL now see the damaging effects of these “burns” with our own eyes.
As a physician, it is my sworn duty to cause no harm. As a human being, it is my duty to watch over my fellow beings. As an educator, it is my responsibility to teach awareness and understanding. As a scientist, it is my duty to separate cause from coincidence. As a Christian, it is my value to do unto others, as I would have others do unto myself. MASS disorders, from infectious diseases to vaccinations, have a common sequence of injuries which includes impaired blood flow, oxygenation, blood carrying capacity, and non-specific immune hyper-stimulation.

Serial (repeat) vaccinations aggravate the core problems. Once the blood vessels are damaged, to a critical point, the pathological process can take on a self-perpetuating life of its own – from infants to teenagers to adults, to companion pets alike.
Four features of the 12-IMAM measurement system that you can now see, include the eye turning in, the eye turning out, the smile becoming asymmetrical, and the eye blinks coming out of sync. These are strokes, from ischemia, throughout the brain and body, for all. Repeat vaccination is the primary culprit, however, vaccination is not the only cause of this MASS problem in human physiology.
WHITE BLOOD CELL IMMUNE RESPONSE – CAUSING DISEASE
If you repetitively dump a million rubber duckies at the mouth of the Mississippi river, where they become lodged downstream will vary from truckload to truckload. Repeat vaccination, by its effects on the non-specific immune system, is like dumping the triggers which call for repetitive “dumping” of millions of rubber duckies (white blood cells) at the head of the Mississippi river. Once the “triggers” are sequestered in various bottleneck end tributary river branches, they continuously attract more “rubber duckies” to these areas. This impairs blood flow and leads to a net loss of tissue by acute or slow strangulation.
It is the act and magnitude of the “rubber duckies” being called to these end vascular areas that causes congestion, impaired blood flow, lack of oxygen, glucose and nutrients to the affected tissue areas. Without oxygen or nutrients, he cells lining the walls of capillaries self-cauterize (clamp shut). This is a healing mechanism that must be instituted in order to prevent leakage of plasma and or blood into tissues.
With MASS impairs blood flow and oxygenation to the tiny blood vessels in the eye, we sometimes see “retinal hemorrhages.” When MASS occurs in the brain, we call it intracerebral bleeding. When MASS occurs to the bones, we call it brittle bones. Collectively, we label this “shaken baby syndrome.”
A HORSE BY SEVERAL NAMES
When the blood sludging MASS process happens to brainstem areas controlling automatic respiration, the central drive for respiration is lost. We call this sudden infant death or sudden death.
When M.A.S.S. happens to the descending motor tracts in the brain, we call this paralysis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, infantile paralysis, seizures, encephalopathy.
CBS News has found that since 1988, the vaccine court has awarded money judgments, often in the millions of dollars, to thirteen hundred and twenty two families whose children suffered brain damage from vaccines. All of these children will show the same IMAM-12 ischemic brain damages as children who have been rendered autistic, learning disabled or dead after vaccinations. The process that causes brain damages from vaccination is also the same MASS process that causes all damages after vaccination – all vaccinations. It is not the vaccines doing this. It is “M.A.S.S.” ischemia. Vaccines have been inadvertently concocted to induce MASS.
When M.A.S.S. happens to internal organs or connective tissue, we call it colitis, irritable bowel, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-concussion syndrome, a psychiatric disorder.
When M.A.S.S. happens in infants, and children, we call it autism-spectrum disorders, specific learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, Aspergers syndrome, global developmental delay, and some childhood cancers. Sometimes M.A.S.S. causes or compounds cerebral palsy – both conditions result from impaired oxygenation and blood flow to the brain.
Sometimes we call M.A.S.S. “Kawasaki” syndrome, “Moyamoya”, ‘aseptic meningitis”, “encephalopathy”, “Meningitis”, hypsarrythmia, infantile spasms, West syndrome, or febrile seizures. It is all simply M.A.S.S. ischemia.
Autism and schizophrenia are the same ailment, in physiology, albeit the triggering pathways for schizophrenia (loss of immunological tolerance) has a different trajectory than acquired autism-spectrum disorders. Nonetheless, a similar mechanism is at work for both ailments – MASS ischemia from derailed blood flow.
When MASS happens in teen girls after Gardasil vaccination, it creates death, disease, illness, clouded thinking, and paralysis. Remarkably, the Gardasil shots are simply completing the silent ischemic vascular damages, to body and brain that were caused from each childhood vaccination the girl received. Sudden death is due to loss of central drive for respiration in the same manner that vaccinations are causing many cases of sudden infant death. Sometimes seizures may also occur. The course can be waxing and waning. All vaccines are causing these problems – silently, in an additive manner over each vaccination, for all of us. No one is spared.
When MASS happens in military and armed services personnel, this causes “Gulf war Syndrome.”
When MASS happens to schizophrenia patients being treated with powerful psychotropic drugs that de-rail white blood cell functions, sudden “unexplained” death can occur by the same MASS sudden death sequence that vaccinations sometimes induce in infants and teen girls.
When MASS happens in the elderly, it causes a slow, step-wise deterioration in cognitive functions – we call this dementia. This is slow strangulation of brain tissue from ischemia at the microscopic level.
Febrile seizures are not caused by “fever”. The fever expands the diameter of the tiny blood vessels so that more white blood cell infection fighting “soldiers” can traverse down the ‘roads.” When the blood vessel roads become jammed, by too many white blood cells, and altered fluid dynamics, there is ischemia. Ischemia causes a lack of oxygen to the brain.
No oxygen to electrically active cells causes depolarization. In the heart, ischemia causes arrhythmia – a seizure to the heart. In the brain, ischemia causes seizures – arrhythmia to the brain. Seizures are a symptom of impaired blood flow and oxygenation just like vaccine induced autism-spectrum is a symptom of the same process.
You can have autism without seizures. You can have seizures without autism. You can have brain damages with or without autism or seizures. This is all ischemia – immediate and delayed, from instability of blood flow dynamics.
I can make these statements of fact, and so can you, since the photographs you can now see, before and after vaccination, show we are all having ischemic microvascular strokes – silently. Some of these damages are called “bulbar palsies” and they are the exact same damages we saw from wild polio exposure as we now see from vaccinations. Remarkably, no one ever told you that wild polio and other infectious diseases, were inducing the body to cause ischemic strokes to the brain. Vaccinations induce the same process – albeit in an attenuated and chronic form.

The ischemic brain damages, after vaccination, from infants to adults, cut across all symptom based medical diagnostic end points.
Type 1 insulin dependent diabetes mellitus is a MASS disorder, as is Parkinson Disease, Tourette’s syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, and several other neuropsychiatric disorders.
Aphasia and loss of expressive speech functions with vaccinations is called “isolation of speech syndrome” or “transcortical motor aphasia.” This is caused by ischemia to end blood vessel watershed vascular territories in the brain – period.
Silent MASS ischemic strokes is how the body caused paralysis and respiratory failure from wild polio virus exposure. This is how death occurred from Smallpox. This is how swine flu vaccine caused paralysis and Guillain-Barré syndrome. This is how thalidomide caused infants to be born with no arms and legs. This is how a series of anthrax vaccines causes military veterans to give birth to children with no arms and legs 18 months after receiving the vaccine series. This is how Vioxx caused heart attack and stroke. This is how pre-natal German measles caused autism-spectrum and organ damages. This is how a systemic drop in maternal blood pressure, during gestation, causes Mobius syndrome (and autism-spectrum). This is how repeat vaccination is causing dementia.
M.A.S.S. is how vaccinations are causing a multitude of chronic illnesses and disease. It is not the germs causing this problem. It is the response of the body to de-railed and unbalanced immune challenges.
THE ROADS TO ROME ARE LOST
When microscopic end blood vessels are destroyed (closed off), as blood flow diminishes and starts to “sludge”, this impairs healing, cellular functioning, and promotes build-up of toxins, heavy metals, and pathogens in circumscribed tissue areas. The ischemia causes disease, autoimmunity, and some cancers if the cells are forced to function in a low energy, low oxygen state. It is not so much “Rome” that is being damaged as it is the roads to and from Rome that are being damaged first. The “fall of Rome” follows as the Romans are starved, strangulated, and forced to live in a “City” that can neither bring supplies in to repair damages, nor can it remove waste from within its central territory by efficient means to meet supply and demand. This is an example of too many Roman Centurions (white blood cells) called to Rome to protect the City. The Centurions, by magnitude and response, block the roads to Rome by virtue of a chronic “Call to Arms.”
There is a better way to prevent disease. Vaccination only masks the cause of disease, it does nothing to address the core problem in physiology – the non-specific M.A.S.S. response and colloidal stability of blood flow dynamics. There are alternative solutions to controlling infectious diseases in populations that do not require injecting foreign substances into your body.
Doctors, pathologists, and coroners cannot see what is right before their very eyes. The cause of sudden infant death, and dementia, in life, is impaired microscopic blood flow. In death, there is no blood flow. Medical science cannot find cause of death and disease, in life, from looking at dead tissue, when the dead tissue exhibits the same cause of death during life – no microscopic end vascular blood flow.
ELECTRODYNAMICS OF BODY FLUIDS – CAUSING DISEASE
A 300 foot Giant Redwood can transport water (nutrients and oxygen) against gravity from the ground to the very top of the tree. The redwood has no moving parts or pump. This transpiration feat is accomplished by the electrodynamics nature of water.
Human blood is 95% water. The human body is 75% water by weight. In physiology, when the electrodynamics quality of water is de-railed by heavy metals, infectious diseases, vaccinations, and other adverse influences, the water which carries oxygen, nutrients, glucose, and healing cells cannot traverse tiny blood vessels to deliver their life sustaining cargoes. This is especially true in end vascular “pipes” that are uniquely oriented against gravity. Blood flow is a function of the colloidal stability of the blood and its products.
The human blood is a colloidal suspension. Proteins. Amino acids, heavy metals etc.. are carried in suspension within the blood as a function of the net negative charge within the system. Drop the net negative charge, flow pressures in tiny end blood vessel “pipes” will start to sludge, agglomerate, and increase viscosity of blood in circumscribed microscopic vascular areas. Medical science has no live imaging tool powerful enough to see this process as it is happening.
By analogy, coffee cream remains in a fluid state when it is moving. If the cream remains stagnant in your coffee cup for several days, it will phase change into a gel. Stagnant blood also turns to sludge and “gel” when it stops moving in a spiral column. Stagnation causes an increase in mass as blood products “come together” to form various degrees of sludge and “gel”.
Agglomerates of sludged blood products cannot traverse microscopic blood vessels designed to carry oxygen transporting red blood cells, in single file.Capillary blood vessels oriented against gravity are uniquely susceptible. Forward blood flow momentum is a function of the negative charge and “spin” in fluid dynamics which keeps particles with mass separated from one another.
Newtonian laws of physics govern how objects with mass move in our universe . The “Big G” is Newton’s Universal Law that Force equals Acceleration x MASS. Increasing MASS (as in sludged blood) with no net increase in Force causes deceleration and no forward flow. No forward flow translates into no oxygen or fuel delivery. For the brain, and body, this causes hypoxia (low oxygen), anoxia (no oxygen) and ischemia (impaired blood flow).
In terms of vaccine damages, impaired forward blood flow in end vascular territories creates brain and organ damages – in us all. These damages have been clinically silent – for millennia. This ischemic process, from germs, toxins, to vaccinations, is the cause of much human disease, pain, and suffering. All vaccines are causing chronic disease, in our attempts to prevent acute disease. We never got rid of the problem, as we did not know what the problem was – until now.
There are some common “end vascular” blood vessels in the human brain, irrespective of age. It is for this reason that we see the exact same measurable signs of brain damage, immediate and delayed, from all vaccinations, for us all in the same manner we saw identical damages from the wild polio virus in the 1950’s. Some of these damages are called bulbar palsies (paralyses) from impaired blood flow through the brain and brainstem. They were present from deadly infectious diseases as much as they are now present from vaccinations. This is slow death, for us all, rather than a fast death, for the few.
When there is impaired blood flow there is impaired oxygen delivery to tissue. Vaccines cause impaired blood flow in an immediate, delayed, waxing and waning pattern. This impairs oxygen delivery throughout the 60,000 miles of microscopic end blood vessel networks in the brain and body. Microscopic brain tissue regions can only survive 4 minutes in an absolute oxygen deprivation state.
Cerebral Vascular Network
Whenever you impair “flow” in any riverbed system, the first areas to “dry up” downstream are the weakest trickling streams furthest from the flow source. These areas are called “end vascular networks.” If an area of tissue is served by a singular blood vessel branch, these areas are called “watershed vascular territories.” These tissue areas are most susceptible to damages when blood flow is partly or completely impaired upstream. For example, the finger-tips, toe-tips, nose-tips, and ear-tips are most susceptible to frost bite as they are end vascular, watershed areas in the human body.
The evidence you can now see, represents the beginning of the end of a flawed medical model and system that has caused the greatest harm, by man-kind to man-kind, in the history of recorded history. Remarkably, we managed to perpetrate these acts under the guise of the greater good, for handsome profit, endorsed by political leaders, corporate merchants, public health officials, and medical professionals alike – they don’t know what they don’t know – a part of the problem.
WHERE HAVE WE BEEN
Debates over the safety, efficacy, and utility of the one-size-fits-all global vaccination programs has reached a fervent pitch. According to the World Health Organization there are 43 million vaccinations administered globally, on any given day. As citizens, we are told “leave the science to scientists.” If you do not have a medical or advanced science degree, your input is irrelevant.” You are told children can handle ten thousand vaccinations safely as they are all attenuated, killed germs, or weakened.”
The problem is that medical science has not known what to measure in order to ensure safety – for all. Now that we have the hard, clinically reproducible, see for yourself measures of neurological damages, we can now see that ALL vaccinations, just like the wild viruses in the pre-vaccine era, are causing tissue, organ, and brain damages. These damages exist along a continuum of harm. The damages are additive with each vaccination received – you can now see this. The clinically silent adverse effects include derailments of all organ systems, to death. We call these adversities by a plethora of clinical labels that are seemingly unrelated to the causal event – repeat vaccinations.
Remarkably, I can now make these bold statements as we can all now see, with our own eyes, the ischemic brain damages, for us all, across ALL vaccinations, from infancy to adulthood, immediately and delayed, irrespective of the end organ damages or clinical diagnostic labels that emerge.

According to a study to be published in Nature, Davis’ team has discovered a clean, safe way to deliver RNAi sequences to cancerous cells. RNAi (Ribonucleic acid interference) is a technique that attacks specific genes in malign cells, disabling functions inside and killing them.

The 70-nanometer attack bots—made with two polymers and a protein that attaches to the cancerous cell’s surface—carry a piece of RNA called small-interfering RNA (siRNA), which deactivates the production of a protein, starving the malign cell to death. Once it has delivered its lethal blow, the nanoparticle breaks down into tiny pieces that get eliminated by the body in the urine.
The most amazing thing is that you can send as many of these soldiers as you want, and they will keep attaching to the bad guys, killing them left, right, and center, and stopping tumors. According to Davis, “the more [they] put in, the more ends up where they are supposed to be, in tumour cells.” While they will have to finish the trials to make sure that there are no side-effects whatsoever, the team is very happy with the successful results and it’s excited about what’s coming:
What’s so exciting is that virtually any gene can be targeted now. Every protein now is druggable. My hope is to make tumours melt away while maintaining a high quality of life for the patients. We’re moving another step closer to being able to do that now.

The scientific name for coconut is Cocos nucifera. Early Spanish explorers called it coco, which means “monkey face” because the three indentations (eyes) on the hairy nut resembles the head and face of a monkey. Nucifera means “nut-bearing.”

Coconut Oil
While coconut possesses many health benefits due to its fiber and nutritional content, it’s the oil that makes it a truly remarkable food and medicine.
Once mistakenly believed to be unhealthy because of its high saturated fat content, it is now known that the fat in coconut oil is a unique and different from most all other fats and possesses many health giving properties. It is now gaining long overdue recognition as a nutritious health food.
Coconut oil has been described as “the healthiest oil on earth.” That’s quite a remarkable statement. What makes coconut oil so good? What makes it different from all other oils, especially other saturated fats?
The difference is in the fat molecule. All fats and oils are composed of molecules called fatty acids. There are two methods of classifying fatty acids. The first you are probably familiar with, is based on saturation. You have saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats. Another system of classification is based on molecular size or length of the carbon chain within each fatty acid. Fatty acids consist of long chains of carbon atoms with hydrogen atoms attached. In this system you have short-chain fatty acids (SCFA), medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA), and long-chain fatty acids (LCFA). Coconut oil is composed predominately of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA), also known as medium-chain triglycerides (MCT).
The vast majority of fats and oils in our diets, whether they are saturated or unsaturated or come from animals or plants, are composed of long-chain fatty acids (LCFA). Some 98 to 100% of all the fatty acids you consume are LCFA.
The size of the fatty acid is extremely important. Why? Because our bodies respond to and metabolize each fatty acid differently depending on its size. So the physiological effects of MCFA in coconut oil are distinctly different from those of LCFA more commonly found in our foods. The saturated fatty acids in coconut oil are predominately medium-chain fatty acids. Both the saturated and unsaturated fat found in meat, milk, eggs, and plants (including most all vegetable oils) are composed of LCFA.
MCFA are very different from LCFA. They do not have a negative effect on cholesterol and help to protect against heart disease. MCFA help to lower the risk of both atherosclerosis and heart disease. It is primarily due to the MCFA in coconut oil that makes it so special and so beneficial.
There are only a very few good dietary sources of MCFA. By far the best sources are from coconut and palm kernel oils.

The Business Of Water – Privatizing An Essential Resource

- In her 2002 book titled, “Water Wars,” noted author, social activist, and ecologist Vandana Shiva called privatizing water:
- – ecological terrorism;
- – a global water crisis;
- – along with overuse, waste and pollution, it can cause “the most pervasive, most severe, and most invisible dimension of the ecological devastation of the earth;”
- – the road to “an ecological crisis with commercial causes but no market solutions; (they) destroy the earth and aggravate inequality; the solution to an ecological crisis is ecological, and the solution for injustice is democracy;” and
- – water rights are natural and “usufructuary….water can be used but not owned;” it belongs to everyone as part of the commons as an essential “basis of all life….under customary laws, the right to water has been accepted as a natural, social fact.”
- Shiva lists nine water democracy principles:
- (1) it’s nature’s gift;
- (2) it’s essential to life;
- (3) “life is interconnected through water;”
- (4) it must be free “for sustenance needs;”
- (5) it’s limited and exhaustible;
- (6) it must be conserved;
- (7) it’s a commons;
- (8) “no one has a right to overuse, abuse, waste, pollute,” or own it; it belongs to everyone; it can’t be treated as a commodity; and
- (9) there’s no substitute.
- Corporate profiteers have other ideas and, since 1997, have met triennially at the World Water Forum (WWF) to discuss privatizing water globally in coordination with the World Water Council (WWC). It’s dominated by two of the world’s largest water companies, Suez and Veolia, as well as the World Bank, other financial interests, UN bodies, and powerful interest groups representing business and world nations.
- WWC’s agenda is profits through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) wanting to privatize global water resources, sell them to the highest bidder, promote destructive dam and water diversion projects, extort high prices, and make an element of life available only to those who can afford it.
- Their scheme involves controlling city/municipal/community distribution as well as stealing public water, bottling it, selling it at exorbitant prices, and claiming it’s pure when, in fact, it’s no safer than tap water.
- In fact, a 1990s four year National Resources Defense Council study on the bottled water industry found “major gaps in bottled water regulation and conclude(d) that bottled water is not necessarily safer than tap water.” Using independent labs, it tested over 1,000 bottles of 103 brands and found:
- – one-third contained “significant contamination (i.e. levels of chemical or bacterial contaminants exceeding those allowed under a state or industry standard or guideline);” and
- – contaminants found in some but not all samples tested included excessive coliform bacteria, synthetic organic compounds (such as toluene, xylene, styrene and others), flouride, phthalate, arsenic, nitrates, and other inorganic contaminants.
- It’s no wonder, given the weakness of federal standards and little regulatory oversight.
- People Advocates
- The People’s Water Forum (WWF) advocates for global water justice, calling it a “basic element of all life (and) a fundamental and inalienable human right.” It rejects all forms of privatization, demanding water be “public, social, cooperative, participatory, equitable, and not for profit.” It calls for “the democratic and sustainable management of ecosystems and the preservation of the water cycle through the protection and proper management of watersheds and environment.” It says commodifying water harms the world’s poor, and wants privatized utilities reclaimed for equitable public use.
- Some Key Water Facts
- Available in lakes, rivers, and underground aquifers, freshwater is scarce, comprising only 0.008% of the global total. It’s unevenly distributed. Around 90% of what’s drinkable is groundwater. About 70% is locked in ice caps, less than 1% readily available. The Great Lakes contain about 84% of North America’s surface fresh water and 21% of the world’s supply. About 13% is in Brazil. Other water rich countries include Canada, Russia, China, Indonesia and Colombia.
- One-third of the world’s population lives in “water-stressed” countries. Over two-thirds have no access to clean water, and an estimated 25,000 people die daily as a result. The World Health Organization (WHO) attributes contaminated water to 80% of all sickness and disease worldwide. In the last decade alone, the number of children killed by avoidable diarrhea illnesses exceeded the death toll from all armed conflicts since WW II. Every eight seconds, a child dies from contaminated water.
- More freshwater is stored in the ground than in liquid form on the surface. Scientists have discovered a vast water reservoir beneath East Asia, at least the equivalent of the Arctic Ocean, so far untapped. Up to now, no shortages exist, but overuse, pollution, and waste will create them. Water is limited, exhaustible when poorly managed, and there’s no substitute.
- Irrigation consumes the most because agribusiness uses ten times what comparable ecological farming needs. Much of what’s available is lost through pollution, overuse, and waste. Conservation and keeping it out of corporate hands is vital to human health, well-being, and sustainability.
- One Report Highlights Privatization Dangers
- Food & Water Watch advocates for economic and environmental sustainability through research, the media, public outreach and education, including lobbying for safe, wholesome food as well as public control of groundwater, oceans, lakes and rivers.
- In February 2009, it published a report titled, “Money Down the Drain: How Private Control of Water Wastes Public Resources.” It covers corporate efforts to convince cash-starved communities to privatize their water and wastewater systems, saying it’s how to raise vital revenue, be more efficient, and the best way to upgrade facilities at low cost. The facts prove otherwise:
- – because of financing costs, taxes, high executive pay, expected profits, and numerous other factors, privatization is expensive and irresponsible;
- – private utilities charge up to 80% more for water and 100% more for sewer service;
- – costs are contained by downsizing workforces, destroying unions, relying on cheap labor, using shoddy construction materials, deferring maintenance, and backlogging service requests to focus all efforts on profits.
- Cities belatedly learn that public control delivers better, cheaper, faster, more reliable service and happier customers. Food & Water Watch concluded that:
- Privatization is not a sustainable model or a way to rejuvenate community water systems. “From high costs and inefficiency to unaccountable and irresponsible operators, a deluge of problems has swamped communities that turned to the private sector. Corporations prioritize earnings over quality, and stockholders over consumers. They seek good returns by cutting corners, neglecting maintenance and hiking rates.”
- Privatization is the problem, not the solution to protect our valuable water resources and distribute them equitably to everyone at a reasonable cost. “Public money for public utilities is the best way….to ensure clean, safe and affordable water for generations to come.” It also preserves higher paying jobs and the right of workers to organize. Irresponsible profiteers operate otherwise.
- Social activist Maude Barlow chairs the Council of Canadians, Canada’s largest citizens organization advocating for numerous economic and social issues, including Canadian independence, progressive policies, energy security, and publicly controlled clean water.
- She explains that future peace or peril depends on whether water is commodified or a public good, saying dwindling freshwater supplies, inequitable access, and corporate control “have created a life-or-death situation across the planet.”
- Schemes to shift water from one ecosystem to another for profit are a human rights and environmental nightmare. Private solutions are the problem, not the solution to equitable distribution, conservation, and sustainability.
- However, American and Canadian governments have other ideas, having “decided that water is not a public good but a private resource that must be secured by whatever means” to control who gets it, at what price, and who doesn’t. These countries lead efforts to block international attempts to recognize water as a human right.
- In a July 2007 article titled, “The Militarization and Annexation of North America,” this writer discussed one way – by integrating America, Canada and Mexico through the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), or North American Union.
- Launched in March 2005, it’s for greater US, Canadian and Mexican economic, political, social, and security integration with secretive working groups devising binding agreements legislatures can’t change.

- Corporate control must be prevented, and global water justice efforts must take the lead. Various initiatives globally are making headway. “Momentum is growing everywhere for a right whose time has come,” but it won’t arrive easily up against powerful opposition.
- Stealing Canada’s Water Wealth
- Canadian attorney John Carten runs the web site waterwarcrimes.com, covering the plan to highjack Canadian water, involving powerful insiders trying to make billions of dollars through bulk water exports, some entirely illegal.
- A feature article headlines: “The Politicians Plan to Steal Canada’s Water Resource Wealth,” explaines that Canada has abundant water, especially in Quebec in the East, and British Columbia (BC) in the West. The temptation to profiteer is overwhelming. The way chosen is by monopoly control, “the investors behind the bulk water export business hatch(ing) a bold and devious two step plan:
- 1. Obtain a source of abundant water for export from the British Columbia Government.
- 2. Use the environmental movement and the public media in Canada to (ensure that) policy makers in the Governments of Canada and British Columbia” ban competition.
- Targeted was “the joint venture project of two small companies, one American, Sun Belt Water Inc. based in Santa Barbara, California, and one Canadian, Snowcap Waters Ltd. based in Fanny Bay, BC and the small Vancouver based company, Aquasource Ltd.”
- Investors established WCW Western Canada Water Enterprises Ltd. to run things, hired PR flacks and corrupted environmentalists to hype fear about unrestricted bulk water exports, so the solution was prohibiting it with an exception – the rights WCW already had giving it an exclusive franchise.
- “The plan was brilliant, it was devious, and it would have been hugely profitable, and incidentally, tax free for many of the (political and business) insiders who held their interests offshore.” They acquired an exclusive license to export “fresh water taken from….behind the dam at Ocean Falls on terms that were completely illegal – courtesy of insiders” in the BC government.
- Next comes transporting it to America, using supertankers to deliver it 1,500 miles south to southern California and northern Mexico. However, they’re limited, expensive, can only service coastal areas, and they can’t deliver enough “to satisfy the long term solution to the water issues of the American southwest and Mexico,” given the population size and substantial commercial needs.
- Eliminating competition also involved “brib(ing) the governing political Social Credit Party (to get the BC government) under the leadership of Bill Vander Zalm (to create) a multitude of regulatory hurdles in the path of the competitors that slowed them down but did not completely kill them so, eventually the Government used brute force (in addition to violating) the Canada US Free Trade Agreement, the GATT and the Water Act (to impose) the illegal moratorium on bulk water exports that denied all competitors the ability” to get a license.
- It failed because:
- – it was illegal;
- – WCW became greedy and tried “to gouge the first US customer, the Goleta Water District, by pricing its water at 50% more than the American competitor, Sun Belt Water Inc;” and
- – Canadian political and business insiders “announced that Sun Belt (wouldn’t get) access” to Canada’s water; only WCW could supply it.
- Sun Belt collapsed. Goleta refused to do business with WCW, and after a few years it went bankrupt “although it had raised over $100 million to finance its business” and had powerful backers.
- A cover-up followed that was bogus on its face, including claiming a bulk water export business wasn’t viable, when, in fact, California planned far more costly desalinization efforts that “use horrendous amounts of energy, create huge environmental issues with salt residues and produces a vastly inferior brand of water with so much mineral content that it is not healthy to drink on a long-term basis.”
- The North American Water and Power Alliance (NAWAPA) plans to revive the scheme through a new way to export Canadian and Alaskan water to the American southwest and northern Mexico.
- Its web site describes it as:
- “a project for diverting to the western US and northwestern Mexico water from rivers in Alaska and Canada which now flow into the Arctic Ocean. In addition to providing irrigation water to arid parts of North America, NAWAPA would also generate considerable amounts of power and provide some subsidiary benefits such as stabilizing the level of the Great Lakes.”
- “The project was formulated by the Los Angeles engineering firm of Ralph M. Parsons Company (to) deliver 120 million acre-feet of water annually; 78 million to the US; 22 million to Canada, and 20 million to Mexico.”
- About 85% of the water would go to agribusiness that already consumes more than its share, causing growing shortages for others. NAWAPA doesn’t explain, but its scheme involves privatizing a public resource, using it wastefully, and exploiting it at a cost far more than what governments would charge. It also about stealing Alaskan and Canadian water, aided by corrupted politicians, the way giant businesses always operate in America, Canada and most elsewhere when governments go along the old fashioned way – bought and paid for through political bribes.

- The Business Of Water – Privatizing An Essential Resource

- In her 2002 book titled, “Water Wars,” noted author, social activist, and ecologist Vandana Shiva called privatizing water:
- – ecological terrorism;
- – a global water crisis;
- – along with overuse, waste and pollution, it can cause “the most pervasive, most severe, and most invisible dimension of the ecological devastation of the earth;”
- – the road to “an ecological crisis with commercial causes but no market solutions; (they) destroy the earth and aggravate inequality; the solution to an ecological crisis is ecological, and the solution for injustice is democracy;” and
- – water rights are natural and “usufructuary….water can be used but not owned;” it belongs to everyone as part of the commons as an essential “basis of all life….under customary laws, the right to water has been accepted as a natural, social fact.”
- Shiva lists nine water democracy principles:
- (1) it’s nature’s gift;
- (2) it’s essential to life;
- (3) “life is interconnected through water;”
- (4) it must be free “for sustenance needs;”
- (5) it’s limited and exhaustible;
- (6) it must be conserved;
- (7) it’s a commons;
- (8) “no one has a right to overuse, abuse, waste, pollute,” or own it; it belongs to everyone; it can’t be treated as a commodity; and
- (9) there’s no substitute.
- Corporate profiteers have other ideas and, since 1997, have met triennially at the World Water Forum (WWF) to discuss privatizing water globally in coordination with the World Water Council (WWC). It’s dominated by two of the world’s largest water companies, Suez and Veolia, as well as the World Bank, other financial interests, UN bodies, and powerful interest groups representing business and world nations.
- WWC’s agenda is profits through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) wanting to privatize global water resources, sell them to the highest bidder, promote destructive dam and water diversion projects, extort high prices, and make an element of life available only to those who can afford it.
- Their scheme involves controlling city/municipal/community distribution as well as stealing public water, bottling it, selling it at exorbitant prices, and claiming it’s pure when, in fact, it’s no safer than tap water.
- In fact, a 1990s four year National Resources Defense Council study on the bottled water industry found “major gaps in bottled water regulation and conclude(d) that bottled water is not necessarily safer than tap water.” Using independent labs, it tested over 1,000 bottles of 103 brands and found:
- – one-third contained “significant contamination (i.e. levels of chemical or bacterial contaminants exceeding those allowed under a state or industry standard or guideline);” and
- – contaminants found in some but not all samples tested included excessive coliform bacteria, synthetic organic compounds (such as toluene, xylene, styrene and others), flouride, phthalate, arsenic, nitrates, and other inorganic contaminants.
- It’s no wonder, given the weakness of federal standards and little regulatory oversight.
- People Advocates
- The People’s Water Forum (WWF) advocates for global water justice, calling it a “basic element of all life (and) a fundamental and inalienable human right.” It rejects all forms of privatization, demanding water be “public, social, cooperative, participatory, equitable, and not for profit.” It calls for “the democratic and sustainable management of ecosystems and the preservation of the water cycle through the protection and proper management of watersheds and environment.” It says commodifying water harms the world’s poor, and wants privatized utilities reclaimed for equitable public use.
- Some Key Water Facts
- Available in lakes, rivers, and underground aquifers, freshwater is scarce, comprising only 0.008% of the global total. It’s unevenly distributed. Around 90% of what’s drinkable is groundwater. About 70% is locked in ice caps, less than 1% readily available. The Great Lakes contain about 84% of North America’s surface fresh water and 21% of the world’s supply. About 13% is in Brazil. Other water rich countries include Canada, Russia, China, Indonesia and Colombia.
- One-third of the world’s population lives in “water-stressed” countries. Over two-thirds have no access to clean water, and an estimated 25,000 people die daily as a result. The World Health Organization (WHO) attributes contaminated water to 80% of all sickness and disease worldwide. In the last decade alone, the number of children killed by avoidable diarrhea illnesses exceeded the death toll from all armed conflicts since WW II. Every eight seconds, a child dies from contaminated water.
- More freshwater is stored in the ground than in liquid form on the surface. Scientists have discovered a vast water reservoir beneath East Asia, at least the equivalent of the Arctic Ocean, so far untapped. Up to now, no shortages exist, but overuse, pollution, and waste will create them. Water is limited, exhaustible when poorly managed, and there’s no substitute.
- Irrigation consumes the most because agribusiness uses ten times what comparable ecological farming needs. Much of what’s available is lost through pollution, overuse, and waste. Conservation and keeping it out of corporate hands is vital to human health, well-being, and sustainability.
- One Report Highlights Privatization Dangers
- Food & Water Watch advocates for economic and environmental sustainability through research, the media, public outreach and education, including lobbying for safe, wholesome food as well as public control of groundwater, oceans, lakes and rivers.
- In February 2009, it published a report titled, “Money Down the Drain: How Private Control of Water Wastes Public Resources.” It covers corporate efforts to convince cash-starved communities to privatize their water and wastewater systems, saying it’s how to raise vital revenue, be more efficient, and the best way to upgrade facilities at low cost. The facts prove otherwise:
- – because of financing costs, taxes, high executive pay, expected profits, and numerous other factors, privatization is expensive and irresponsible;
- – private utilities charge up to 80% more for water and 100% more for sewer service;
- – costs are contained by downsizing workforces, destroying unions, relying on cheap labor, using shoddy construction materials, deferring maintenance, and backlogging service requests to focus all efforts on profits.
- Cities belatedly learn that public control delivers better, cheaper, faster, more reliable service and happier customers. Food & Water Watch concluded that:
- Privatization is not a sustainable model or a way to rejuvenate community water systems. “From high costs and inefficiency to unaccountable and irresponsible operators, a deluge of problems has swamped communities that turned to the private sector. Corporations prioritize earnings over quality, and stockholders over consumers. They seek good returns by cutting corners, neglecting maintenance and hiking rates.”
- Privatization is the problem, not the solution to protect our valuable water resources and distribute them equitably to everyone at a reasonable cost. “Public money for public utilities is the best way….to ensure clean, safe and affordable water for generations to come.” It also preserves higher paying jobs and the right of workers to organize. Irresponsible profiteers operate otherwise.

- Eliminating competition also involved “brib(ing) the governing political Social Credit Party (to get the BC government) under the leadership of Bill Vander Zalm (to create) a multitude of regulatory hurdles in the path of the competitors that slowed them down but did not completely kill them so, eventually the Government used brute force (in addition to violating) the Canada US Free Trade Agreement, the GATT and the Water Act (to impose) the illegal moratorium on bulk water exports that denied all competitors the ability” to get a license.
- It failed because:
- – it was illegal;
- – WCW became greedy and tried “to gouge the first US customer, the Goleta Water District, by pricing its water at 50% more than the American competitor, Sun Belt Water Inc;” and
- – Canadian political and business insiders “announced that Sun Belt (wouldn’t get) access” to Canada’s water; only WCW could supply it.
- Sun Belt collapsed. Goleta refused to do business with WCW, and after a few years it went bankrupt “although it had raised over $100 million to finance its business” and had powerful backers.
- A cover-up followed that was bogus on its face, including claiming a bulk water export business wasn’t viable, when, in fact, California planned far more costly desalinization efforts that “use horrendous amounts of energy, create huge environmental issues with salt residues and produces a vastly inferior brand of water with so much mineral content that it is not healthy to drink on a long-term basis.”
- The North American Water and Power Alliance (NAWAPA) plans to revive the scheme through a new way to export Canadian and Alaskan water to the American southwest and northern Mexico.
- Its web site describes it as:
- “a project for diverting to the western US and northwestern Mexico water from rivers in Alaska and Canada which now flow into the Arctic Ocean. In addition to providing irrigation water to arid parts of North America, NAWAPA would also generate considerable amounts of power and provide some subsidiary benefits such as stabilizing the level of the Great Lakes.”
- “The project was formulated by the Los Angeles engineering firm of Ralph M. Parsons Company (to) deliver 120 million acre-feet of water annually; 78 million to the US; 22 million to Canada, and 20 million to Mexico.”
- About 85% of the water would go to agribusiness that already consumes more than its share, causing growing shortages for others. NAWAPA doesn’t explain, but its scheme involves privatizing a public resource, using it wastefully, and exploiting it at a cost far more than what governments would charge. It also about stealing Alaskan and Canadian water, aided by corrupted politicians, the way giant businesses always operate in America, Canada and most elsewhere when governments go along the old fashioned way – bought and paid for through political bribes.

Hydrolyzed Protein is protein that has been hydrolyzed or broken down into its component amino acids. While there are many means of achieving this, two of the most common are prolonged boiling in a strong acid (acid-HVP) or strong base or using an enzyme such as the pancreatic protease enzyme to stimulate the naturally-occurring hydrolytic process.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, hydrolyzed protein is used to enhance flavor. The chemical breakdown of proteins may result in the formation of free glutamate that joins with free sodium to form monosodium glutamate (MSG). When added this way, American law does not require the labels to list MSG as an ingredient.[1] .

As the list of products being recalled in Canada over fears of salmonella contamination continues to grow, so does the number of questions over the food additive at the centre of the controversy.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has added La Cocina cheese-flavoured tortilla chips and Grandma Emily’s BBQ Lounge Mix, to the dozens of items already being recalled over fears that an additive used to enhance flavour, hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP), may contain salmonella.
The agency also expanded a recall of Frontier whole black peppercorn packages. The HVP was manufactured by Basic Food Flavors Inc., based in Las Vegas. Nearly 100 products have already been subject to recall in Canada, including potato chips, flavoured peanuts and spinach dip. More than 100 products have been recalled in the United States.
HVP is added in dry powder and paste forms to a wide variety of packaged and processed foods, including soups, flavoured snacks and sauces. Manufacturers aren’t required to list HVP as an ingredient if it was added to the food product as part of another ingredient.
For the growing contingent of label-reading Canadians, the recall has created new concern over the sanctity of the country’s food supply. Food additives, as well as preservatives and flavours, have come under increasing fire from critics who advocate for a return to basic, simple ingredients and unprocessed food.
“Just the term kind of puts people off a little bit,” said Art Hill, professor and chair of food science at the University of Guelph. “The perception is because they’re added [to food] they’re something that’s cooked up in a mad scientist’s lab.”
Dr. Hill said figures such as Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals and advocate for consumption of whole, unprocessed foods, have turned the public off of the idea of food processing, chemicals and added ingredients altogether.
There is good reason to be health-conscious and avoid preservatives such as monosodium glutamate, Dr. Hill said.
“Mistakes have been made, both in additives other food processing interventions,” he said.
But processing, chemicals and added ingredients are more common than many people realize, and are often necessary to make certain products available. For instance, baking powder is a chemical leavening agent. Soybeans need to be processed in order for people to digest them properly and receive their nutrients.
And while it’s nice to imagine growing food in a backyard garden, the process of picking and preparing can cause some vegetables to lose their nutritional value, Dr. Hill said. The cold winter season also means many of those items simply aren’t available for large chunks of the year.
But innovations in food science have made it possible for producers to flash-freeze fruits and vegetables in a way that preserves their nutrients and makes them available at all times of year.
“To me, this whole area, it’s really about balance,” Dr. Hill said. “There’s a lot of processing that’s actually beneficial.”
While officials are still investigating the source of the problem, one food scientist said he believes it may have been caused by unsanitary conditions at the plant where HVP is manufactured.
Clair Hicks, a food science professor at the University of Kentucky’s College of Agriculture and a regional communicator for the Institute of Food Technologists, a non-profit scientific group, said the protein source and processing method don’t create risks of bacterial contamination and that it seems more likely that improper cleaning or sanitation methods are at the root of the problem.

For years I wondered why I was fat. I lost weight, gained it back, and lost it again – over and over and over. I owned suits in every size. As a former commissioner of the FDA (the US Food and Drug Administration), surely I should have the answer to my problems. Yet food held remarkable sway over my behaviour.
The latest science seemed to suggest being overweight was my destiny. I was fat because my body’s “thermostat” was set high. If I lost weight, my body would try to get it back, slowing down my metabolism till I returned to my predetermined set point.
But this theory didn’t explain why so many people, in the US and UK in particular, were getting significantly fatter. For thousands of years, human body weight had stayed remarkably stable. Millions of calories passed through our bodies, yet with rare exceptions our weight neither rose nor fell. A perfect biological system seemed to be at work. Then, in the 80s, something changed.
Three decades ago, fewer than one Briton in 10 was obese. One in four is today. It is projected that by 2050, Britain could be a “mainly obese society”. Similar, and even more pronounced, changes were taking place in the US, where researchers found that not only were Americans entering their adult years at a significantly higher weight but, while on average everyone was getting heavier, the heaviest people were gaining disproportionately more weight than others. The spread between those at the upper end of the weight curve and those at the lower end was widening. Overweight people were becoming more overweight.
What had happened to add so many millions of pounds to so many millions of people? Certainly food had become more readily available, with larger portion sizes, more chain restaurants and a culture that promotes out-of-home eating. But having food available doesn’t mean we have to eat it. What has been driving us to overeat?
It is certainly not a want born of fear of food shortages. Nor is it a want rooted in hunger or the love of exceptional food. We know, too, that overeating is not the sole province of those who are overweight. Even people who remain slim often feel embattled by their drive for food. It takes serious restraint to resist an almost overpowering urge to eat. Yet many, including doctors and healthcare professionals, still think that weight gainers merely lack willpower, or perhaps self-esteem. Few have recognised the distinctive pattern of overeating that has become widespread in the population. No one has seen loss of control as its most defining characteristic.
“Higher sugar, fat and salt make you want to eat more.” I had read this in scientific literature, and heard it in conversations with neuroscientists and psychologists. But here was a leading food designer, a Henry Ford of mass-produced food, revealing how his industry operates. To protect his business, he did not want to be identified, but he was remarkably candid, explaining how the food industry creates dishes to hit what he called the “three points of the compass”.
Sugar, fat and salt make a food compelling. They stimulate neurons, cells that trigger the brain’s reward system and release dopamine, a chemical that motivates our behaviour and makes us want to eat more. Many of us have what’s called a “bliss point”, at which we get the greatest pleasure from sugar, fat or salt. Combined in the right way, they make a product indulgent, high in “hedonic value”.
During the past two decades, there has been an explosion in our ability to access and afford what scientists call highly “palatable” foods. By palatability, they don’t just mean it tastes good: they are referring primarily to its capacity to stimulate the appetite. Restaurants sit at the epicentre of this explosion, along with an ever-expanding range of dishes that hit these three compass points. Sugar, fat and salt are either loaded into a core ingredient (such as meat, vegetables, potato or bread), layered on top of it, or both. Deep-fried tortilla chips are an example of loading – the fat is contained in the chip itself. When it is smothered in cheese, sour cream and sauce, that’s layering.
It is not just that fast food chains serve food with more fat, sugar and salt, or that intensive processing virtually eliminates our need to chew before swallowing, or that snacks are now available at any time. It is the combination of all that, and more.
Take Kentucky Fried Chicken. My source called it “a premier example” of putting more fat on our plate. KFC’s approach to battering its food results in “an optimised fat pick-up system”. With its flour, salt, MSG, maltodextrin, sugar, corn syrup and spice, the fried coating imparts flavour that touches on all three points of the compass while giving the consumer the perception of a bargain – a big plate of food at a good price.
Initially, KFC meals were built around a whole chicken, with a pick-up surface that contained “an enormous amount of breading, crispiness and brownness on the surface. That makes the chicken look like more and gives it this wonderful oily flavour.” Over time, the company began to realise there was less meat in a chicken nugget compared with a whole chicken, and a greater percentage of fried batter. But the real breakthrough was popcorn chicken. “The smaller the piece of meat, the greater the percentage of fat pick-up,” said the food designer. “Now, we have lots of pieces of a cheaper part of the chicken.” The product has been “optimised on every dimension”, with the fat, sugar and salt combining with the perception of good value virtually to guarantee consumer appeal.
He walked me through some offerings at other popular food chains. Burger King’s Whopper touched on the three points of the compass – then was altered for further effect. In its first, stripped-down form, the burger was explosively rich in fat, sugar and salt. Then the chain began adding more beef, extra cheese or a layer of bacon. McDonald’s broke new ground in another way – by making food available on a whim. “The great growth has been the snacking occasion. You get hungry, you want something, your mind pushes off the reality of what you ought to eat, and you end up picking up a hamburger and a giant soda or french fries.”
Next they introduced a high-fat, high-salt morning meal. “They took what they learned from the core lunch and dinner menu, and applied it to breakfast. The sausage McMuffin and the egg McMuffin are stand-ins for the hamburger. In effect, you are eating a morning hamburger.”
This kind of food disappears down our throats so quickly after the first bite that it readily overrides the body’s signals that should tell us, “I’m full.” The food designer offered coleslaw as an example. When its ingredients are chopped roughly, it requires time and energy to chew. But when cabbage and carrots are softened in a high-fat dressing, coleslaw ceases to be “something with a lot of innate ability to satisfy”.
This isn’t to say that the food industry wants us to stop chewing altogether. It knows we want to eat a doughnut, not drink it. “The key is to create foods with just enough chew – but not too much. When you’re eating these things, you’ve had 500, 600, 800, 900 calories before you know it.” Foods that slip down don’t leave us with a sense of being well fed. In making food disappear so swiftly, fat and sugar only leave us wanting more.
According to food consultant Gail Vance Civille, of management consultants Sensory Spectrum, fat is crucial to this process of lubrication, ensuring that a product melts in the mouth. In the past, she says, Americans typically chewed food up to 25 times before it was swallowed; now the average American chews 10 times. “If I have fat in there, I just chew it up and whoosh! Away it goes,” she says. “You have a ‘quick getaway’, a quick melt.”
The Snickers bar, Civille says, is “extraordinarily well engineered”. Unlike many products whose nuts become annoyingly lodged between your teeth, the genius of Snickers is that as we chew, the sugar dissolves, the fat melts and the caramel picks up the peanut pieces, so the entire candy is carried out of the mouth at the same time. “You’re not getting a build-up of stuff in your mouth.”
Kettle chips are another success story. Made of sugar-rich russet potatoes, they have a slightly bitter background note and brown irregularly, which gives them a complex flavour. High levels of fat generate easy mouth-melt, and surface variations add a level of interest beyond that found in mass-produced chips. Heightened complexity is the key to modern food design.
Not so many decades ago, a single flavour of ice-cream was a special treat. Our options ran to vanilla, chocolate and strawberry – and when we could buy all three in a single carton, we saw that as a great innovation. Now ice-cream has countless flavours and varieties; it comes mixed with M&M’s or topped with caramel sauce.
When layers of complexity are built into food, the effect becomes more powerful. Sweetness alone does not account for the full impact of a fizzy drink – its temperature and tingle, resulting from the stimulation of the trigeminal nerve by carbonation and acid, are essential contributors as well.
“The complexity of the stimulus increases its association to a reward,” says Gaetano Di Chiara, an expert in neuroscience and pharmacology at the University of Cagliari in Italy. Elements of that complexity include tastes that are familiar and well liked, especially if not always readily available, and the learning associated with having had a pleasurable experience with the same food in the past.
Take a bowl of M&M’s. If I’ve eaten them in the past, I’m stimulated by the sight of them, because I know they’ll be rewarding. I eat one, and experience that reward. The visual cue gains power and stimulates the urge we call “wanting”. The more potent and complex foods become, the greater the rewards they may offer. The excitement in the brain increases our desire for further stimulation.
In theory there’s a limit to how much stimulation rewarding foods can generate. We are supposed to habituate – to neuroadapt. When Di Chiara gave animals a cheesy snack called Fonzies, the levels of dopamine in their brains increased. Over time, habituation set in, dopamine levels fell and the food lost its capacity to activate their behaviour.
But if the stimulus is powerful enough, novel enough or administered intermittently enough, the brain may not curb its dopamine response. Desire remains high. We see this with cocaine use, which does not result in habituation. Hyperpalatable foods alter the landscape of the brain in much the same way.
I asked Di Chiara to study what happens after an animal is repeatedly exposed to a high-sugar, high-fat chocolate drink. When he’d completed his experiment, he sent me an email with “Important results!!!!” in the subject line. He had shown that dopamine response did not diminish over time with the chocolate drink. There was no habituation.
Novelty also impedes habituation, and intermittency is another driver. Give an animal enough sugar-laden food, withdraw it for the right amount of time, then provide it again in sufficient quantities, and dopamine levels may not diminish.
There’s still a lot we don’t know about the relationship between the dopamine-driven motivational system and our behaviour in the presence of rewarding foods. But we do know that foods high in sugar, fat and salt are altering the biological circuitry of our brains. We have scientific techniques that demonstrate how these foods – and the cues associated with them – change the connections between the neural circuits and their response patterns.
Rewarding foods are rewiring our brains. As they do, we become more sensitive to the cues that lead us to anticipate the reward. In that circularity lies a trap: we can no longer control our responses to highly palatable foods because our brains have been changed by the foods we eat.
I wanted to know how much the industry understood about how the food we eat affects us; about what I have termed “conditioned hypereating” – “conditioned” because it becomes an automatic response to widely available food, “hyper” because the eating is excessive and hard to control. I turned to Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel laureate in economics.
“Does the industry know that what it feeds us gets us to eat more?” I asked.
“The industry has jacked up what works for it,” Stiglitz said. “The learning is evolutionary.” Practical experience has been its guide – it does not need lab rats when it can try out its ideas on humans. Its decision-makers do not have to analyse human brain circuitry to discover what sells.
A venture capitalist who knows the business intimately cited Starbucks as a company that has recognised and responded brilliantly to a cultural need. The caffeine and sugar in the coffee, with their energising effects, are certainly part of the equation, but the chain also offers something much more primal. “It’s about warm milk and a bottle,” he says. “One of my colleagues said, ‘If I could put a nipple on it, I’d be a multimillionaire’.”
But it was thinking creatively about how to attract more consumers that led Starbucks to the Frappuccino, the venture capitalist told me. Although its stores were crowded early in the day, by afternoon “they were so empty you could roll a bowling ball through them”. The creation of a rich, sweet and comforting milkshake-like concoction utterly transformed the business. A Starbucks Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino comes with whipped cream and 18 teaspoons of sugar: all in all, this “drink” contains more calories than a personal-size pepperoni pizza, and more sweetness than six scoops of ice-cream. By encouraging us to consider any occasion for food an opportunity for pleasure and reward, the industry invites us to indulge a lot more often.
Starbucks learned a basic lesson: make enticing food easily and constantly available, keep it novel, and people will keep coming back for more. With food available in almost any setting, “the number of cues, the number of opportunities” to eat have increased, while the barriers to consumption have fallen, says David Mela, senior scientist of weight management at the Unilever Health Institute. “The environmental stimulus has changed.”
Of course, when food is offered to us, we’re not obliged to eat it. When it’s on the menu, we don’t have to order it. But this takes more than willpower. As an individual, you can practise eating the food you want in a controlled way. As a society, we can identify the forces that drive overeating and find ways to diminish their power. That’s what happened with the tobacco industry: attitudes to smoking shifted. Similar changes could be brought about in our attitudes to food – by making it mandatory for restaurants to list calorie counts on their menus; by clear labelling on food products; by monitoring food marketing. But until then few of us are immune to the ubiquitous presence of food, the incessant marketing and the cultural assumption that it’s acceptable to eat anywhere, at any time.
Call it the “taco chip challenge” – the challenge of controlled eating in the face of constant food availability. “Forty years ago, you might face the social equivalent of that taco chip challenge once a month. Now you face it every single day,” Mela said. “Every single day and every single place you go, those foods are there, those foods are cheap, those foods are readily available for you to engage in. There is constant, constant opportunity.”
How to take back control
Plan when and what you will eat There should be no room for deviation; the idea is to inhibit mindless eating and eliminate your mental tug-of-war. Once you’ve set new patterns, you can become more flexible.
Practise portion control Eat half your usual meal; see how you feel one and two hours later. A just-right meal will keep away hunger for four hours.
List the foods and situations you can’t control Cut out those foods; limit exposure to those situations. If offered something you overeat, push it away.
Talk down your urges Learn responses to involuntary thoughts: eating that will only satisfy me temporarily; eating this will make me feel trapped; I’ll be happier and weigh less if I don’t eat this.
Rehearse making the right choices Before entering a restaurant, imagine chosing a dinner that’s part of your eating plan. Think of this as a game against a powerful opponent. You won’t win every encounter, but with practice you can get a lot better.

No Chemtrails in Vancouver?? What? oh, yeah it is the Olympics
I was first made aware of Chemtrails back in 1999. I met then investigative Journalist Will Thomas who was in the process of writing a book on the subject. We shared a common interest in seeking and sharing the truth. We then had a friend who also support this hanus crime and we had funded a study to take air samples of the Chemtrails over Victoria.
Risking my life not caring of the consequence I hurled my self in the air with a rented Cessna 210 stock with pedri dishes and an air intake kit from a lab. There we were Will and I want to get something credible… but to no avail we could not get above 10000ft.
So here we are 10 plus years later and we have now have had government admittance that they are in deed seeding the sky, but not really telling us why. Yet every time there is heavy spraying above our heads hospital incidences rise due to respiratory challenges.
So here I am 10 years later having watched the sky pre-Olympics and now during the Olympics. hmm the sky is different. Well air traffic is at an all time high here in Vancouver. So it does not explain for the lack of Chemtrails.

- The editors of Medical Veritas journal have condemned The Lancet’sretraction of the controversial study byDr. Andrew Wakefield, charging editor Richard Horton with pandering to special interests in a conspiracy to defraud the public about the risks of vaccinations.
- In 1998, The Lancet published the contested study linking autism and intestinal problems to the risky MMR triple virus vaccine. Yesterday, following the British General Medical Council’s decision that Dr. Wakefield had been “dishonest,” The Lancet’s editor retracted the article saying the Council’s report made it “utterly clear, without any ambiguity at all, that the statements in the paper were utterly false.”
- In a letter to the Los Angeles Times, Dr. Gilbert Ross, medical director of the pro-vaccine industry American Council on Science and Health, wrote, “The retraction . . . comes far too late. Even now, Horton fails to accept responsibility for the human toll he engendered by publishing the Wakefield ’study.’. . .”
- “On the contrary,” wrote Dr. Leonard Horowitz, Editor-in-Chief of Medical Veritas. “Dr. Horton’s delay is best explained by his aversion to self incrimination and conspiring to cover-up iatrogenocide–the medical mass murder of innocent people for profit.”
- The Winter, 2010 issue of Medical Veritas, evidenced gross conflicting interests undermining the The Lancet’s integrity. Following the publication of Dr. Wakefield’s controversial study, Reed-Elsevier-ChoicePoint mergers occurred. The mega-company formed has nearly monopolized the medical scientific publishing industry. Previous to this, The Lancet editors protested the “damaging” of medicine and health science by pharmaceutical companies.
“Now it is obvious Dr. Horton’s company has been grossly contaminated by special interests as biased as Dr. Ross’s ‘PharmaCouncil’,” Dr. Horowitz said. - Reed-Elsevier-ChoicePoint, it turns out, is directed by Chief Executive Officer, Sir Crispin Davis, according to a Reuter’s News Service promotion for GlaxoSmithKline recently published. According to Forbes, Sir Davis was knighted by the Queen of England for his “service to the information industry.” He has served as a Non-Executive Independent Director of GlaxoSmithKline, PLC since 2003. Sir Davis spent his early career with Procter & Gamble.
- Reuter’s News Service, key to the British “information industry,” is directed by Editor-in-Chief, Thomas H. Glocer, who serves on the Board of Directors of Merck & Co., which admittedly paid Reed-Elsevier to publish pseudo-scientific articles and fraudulent medical journals, including the Australasian Journal of Bone and Joint Medicine. According to court records, and the New York Times, the Merck-sponsored publication for doctors in Australia came to light during litigation over Vioxx–a pain medication that caused, conservatively, more than 27,785 deaths according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
- The Lancet editor blamed the FDA for faulty oversight for the VIOXX killings, but failed to cite his own parent company’s complicity in the iatrogenocide. Dr. Horton wrote, “Without more vigilant drug regulation in the future, doctors will continue to be misled and patients’ lives will continue to be endangered. “
- So with zero confidence in The Lancet, Dr. Horton, those paying his salary, and those criticizing him for his actions, Medical Veritas editors are inviting Dr. Wakefield to re-publish his controversial paper in their next issue.
- “Many of our editors have experienced slander and demeaning remarks by mainstream healthcare authorities and the media, Dr. Gary S. Goldman, the Associate Editor of Medical Veritas, wrote to Dr. Wakefield. “Your numerous peer-reviewed journal articles testify to your valuable contribution to the medical and health fields, and your stand against the opponents to scientific reason and common sense is heroic.”
Medical Veritas, wherein Dr. Wakefield published a 2006 follow-up study to his 1998 report in The Lancet, is “one of the few remaining journals that places emphasis on the health interests of individuals rather than pursue profits.” - “The current climate of vaccine science is very controversial,” said Eileen Dannemann. In recent months, the Director of the National Coalition of Organized Women collected and analyzed data of spontaneous abortions following injections of H1N1 vaccines into pregnant women.
- “The information that people are given by vaccine authorities, and through the media,” Dannemann insists, “is inconsistent with the safety studies conducted that lack placebo controls and long-term surveillance of adverse reactions to these vaccinations.”

Contrary to the PharmaMedia’s propaganda character-assassinating Dr. Wakefield, he is not the only scientist concerned about vaccinations causing deadly side effects. S. 3002 Must Be Overhauled or Scrapped – Act Now!
The “Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010,” S. 3002, introduced by Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Byron Dorgan (D-ND) on February 4th, is designed, according to the bill preamble, to “more effectively regulate dietary supplements that may pose safety risks unknown to consumers.”
The bill follows a surge of anti-doping initiatives and announcements dating back to September 29, 2009 (when the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Drugs heard the testimony of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, or USADA), and to a December 2nd, 2009 USADA press conference. If passed, the proposed bill would dramatically harm consumers, cripple the nutritional products industry, and do absolutely nothing to stem the tide of laboratory-concocted, performance-enhancing drug hybrids masquerading as dietary supplements. It is important to recognize that Senator McCain is a true American patriot known for his independence and Senator Dorgan has shown leadership in the area of net neutrality, which is critical to the free flow of health information for consumers. However there are a host of problems in the bill serious enough to make it a completely irreparable and untenable piece of legislation. These include:
(1) The creation of completely outrageous European Food Supplements Directive (EFSD)/Health Canada-esque facility registration requirements for all brands, products and ingredients, despite the fact that food facilities are already required to be registered;
(2) The effective removal of the “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) status for most major dietary supplement/herbal ingredients, thereby deeming most supplements as “adulterated” unless they are included on the FDA’s “Accepted Dietary Ingredients” list;
(3) The creation and maintenance of voluminous safety dossiers on every dietary supplement and ingredient;
(4) The requirement that “all adverse events” (not just serious adverse events) relating to supplements be reported, including non-serious, trivial and unsubstantiated reports; and
(5) The codification of arbitrary and capricious cease-and-desist and recall authority based merely on the FDA’s “reasonable probability” that an item is adulterated or misbranded (this action can be taken regardless of whether the manufacturer is properly challenging the order).
This bill’s proposed establishment of an “approved list of ingredients” (much like EFSD’s approved lists of supplement ingredients and ingredient forms) is something to which the U.S. government (specifically the U.S. Codex delegation) has been adamantly opposed. So why would that same U.S. government endeavor to create “lists” – within its own borders – that it sees fit to battle against internationally? In addition, the proposed provision that would require “all” adverse events to be reported would bog the AER system down with hundreds, if not thousands, of trivial and product-unrelated reports. This would serve to bury reports noting potential areas of commonality (signal events) in a garbage heap of useless information.
Once this bill is shelved, Citizens for Health will be happy to work with Senators McCain and Dorgan to come up with solutions directed at increasing and improving U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) enforcement against labs-for-hire that spike food products with steroids and other banned drugs.
But the priority now is to ensure this bill never sees a vote in the Senate. Send a letter to your Senators now, urging them to reject S. 3002, the Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010.
Arizona and North Dakota residents: Since your Senators are the sponsors, you will be sending them a letter urging them to withdraw the bill from consideration. In addition, Arizona residents in one of the districts represented by Congressmen Jeff Flake, Trent Franks and John B. Shadegg will also be sending them a letter asking them to reach out to Senator McCain, urging him to withdraw the bill.
Please take action immediately and send the following letter to Senators. Tell your senators NOT to co- sponsor the detrimental legislation and to do everything in their power to defeat it. Then forward this to your friends and family and ask them to do the same!

Do Not Co-sponsor Senator McCain’s Attack on Dietary Supplements
Dear [Senator],
Please do not co-sponsor Senator McCain’s Dietary Supplement Safety Act (DSSA). Please instead oppose it!
DSSA would repeal key sections of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). DSHEA protects supplements if 1) they are food products that have been in the food supply and not chemically altered or 2) if they were sold as supplements prior to 1994, the year that DSHEA was passed. If a supplement fits one of these two descriptions, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cannot arbitrarily ban it or reclassify it as a drug.
If this bill passes, the FDA would have full discretion and power to compile a discreet list of supplements allowed to remain on the market. Supplements drawn entirely from food and long established supplements or supplement potencies could be arbitrarily banned.
McCain’s Dietary Supplement Safety Act (DSSA) appears to be supported by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) which is funded by major league sports teams including baseball, football and others. In his comments, Senator McCain cited six NFL players recently suspended for testing positive for banned substances and purportedly exposed to these substances through dietary supplements.
The problem here is of course one of illegal sale and use of steroids. So why dismantle the supplement industry in order to control already illegal substances?
The FDA currently has complete and total authority to stop illegal steroids and, more broadly, to regulate dietary supplements. If the agency were doing its job, it could and would have prevented the sale of illegal steroids. The answer to this problem is not to give FDA more power; we should instead demand that the FDA do its job.
Why would a bill be offered to solve an illegal steroid problem that does not really address the steroid problem but instead gives the FDA complete and arbitrary control over all supplements?
One possible explanation is that the bill’s sponsor buys into the often heard argument that supplements and drugs should be treated identically, that both should be brought through the FDA’s drug approval process in the same way. This is a completely false argument. The FDA drug approval process costs as much as a billion dollars. It is not economically feasible to spend such vast sums on substances that are not protected by patent, and natural substances cannot legally be patented.
This is the great “Catch 22″ of American medicine. The FDA is unfriendly to supplements because they do not come through the drug approval process. But the drug approval process only makes sense for patentable substances that will sell at very high prices. This leaves the FDA, which is supposed to guard and promote our health, hostile to the kind of natural medicine–based on diet, supplements, and exercise–that represents the real future of healthcare.
If McCain’s bill passes, we can look to Europe for a snapshot of what we may be in for: EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority, has sharply reduced the list of available supplements and is in process of reducing potencies to ridiculous levels, such as less beta carotene than can be found in half of a large carrot.
Please refuse to co-sponsor and otherwise oppose the Dietary Supplement Safety Act!
